Edens Zero is a Japanese science fantasy manga series created by Hiro Mashima. The story, which takes place in a fictitious spacefaring universe, centers on Shiki Granbell, a young boy blessed with gravitational powers, as he sets off on a journey on a starship of the same name in search of Mother, a cosmic creature.
Edens Zero, which Mashima refers to as a "space fantasy" series, features multiple characters that use magical abilities. The narrative also heavily features recurring characters from different histories, especially those formed by the Chronophage, a time-devouring space monster, and others living in numbered parallel universes around the multiverse.
Edens Zero's Main Characters
Shiki Granbell
Shiki Granbell is the main character of the series. As the adoptive grandson of the previous Demon King Ziggy, he is the next Demon King. Shiki is the captain of Edens Zero and has complete control over the whole battleship as its new owner. Witch says Shiki inherited the title from his late grandfather because he had the former's Ether Gear Satan Gravity.
Rebecca Bluegarden
From Planet Blue Garden, Rebecca Bluegarden is a B-Cuber and an E-class Adventurer. She shares ownership with Shiki and joins the crew as a friend of the latter. Sister Ivry informs her that she can become the Chrono Witch with the help of the Witch. Her objective is to have one million subscribers on her Aoneko Channel.
Happy
Happy is Rebecca's B-Cube partner and a Blue Garden cat. He joins Rebecca and the rest of the Edens Zero crew, sharing ownership. He is a feline alien from Excede who was gravely injured in a traffic accident during Rebecca's childhood. Their benefactor, Professor Weisz transferred Happy's mind into an identical android body to help him survive.
E.M. Pino
Ziggy, the former Demon King, created E.M. Pino, a little anti-bot machine. She joins the crew of Edens Zero and befriends Shiki Granbell, the new Demon King. Pino was created by Ziggy to serve as the "Light of Edens" and the "next generation" of androids after the Four Shining Stars would appear.
Homura Kōgetsu
Swordswoman Homura Kōgetsu comes from the planet Oedo. She is one of Edens' crew members. She studies under Valkyrie Yuna, one of the Four Shining Stars, and eventually takes over as the "Sword of Edens" after her, going by the name "Valkyrie Homura" in honor of her master.
Witch Regret
Witch Regret is a machine and one of the Four Shining Stars that manage Edens Zero. She is in charge of protecting the ship in her capacity as the Shield of Eden. Witch was created by the Demon King Ziggy on Planet Granbell to serve as one of the Four Shining Stars of Edens Zero.
Hermit Mio
As one of the Four Shining Stars and an android, Hermit Mio is also referred to as the "Mind of Edens" and a member of the Edens Zero Crew. As one of the Demon King's Four Shining Stars, she was created by the previous Demon King on Planet Granbell.
Weisz Steiner
Weisz Steiner is an adventurer, a mechanical engineer, and a part of the Edens Zero crew. He is also a former robber from the Planet Norma and the younger version of Professor Weisz from the year X442. Later on, upon wearing an armoured suit, he goes by the alias "Arsenal".
Mosco Versa-0
The machine known as Mosco Versa-0, who works for Sister Ivry, is in charge of all the duties on board the Edens Zero. He was formerly a member of the Rogue Out mercenary group. Pushing the button on his tummy causes Cosmo, an alternate personality of Mosco, to come out.
Sister Irvy
One of the Four Shining Stars in charge of running Edens Zero is a machine named Sister Ivry. She is in charge of treating and fixing whatever harm the crew and the ship may have suffered in her capacity as the Life of Edens. Sister was created by Ziggy on Planet Granbell and followed him on his adventures before being released from service.
