One Piece chapter 1128 is set to be released on October 7, 2024, but the raw scans of the chapter have already been released and given the fandom a basic rundown of what the Straw Hat Pirates explore after realizing that they were indeed on Elbaf Island.

The chapter hints at connections to the Skypiea arc, like Nami and Sanji’s disgust over insects and the appearance of a fake Sun God. These hints suggest that the Elbaf arc could end similarly to Enel's story in Skypiea, with possible foreshadowing between the two arcs.

Exploring the importance of Skypiea arc through the hints in the final part of One Piece

Skypiea arc is one of the most underrated arcs of One Piece and the one that is skipped by the majority of fans who watch the series in bulk. However, the arc has proved so many times how it is related to the entire lore of the series first through its relationship with Jaya (as one of the eyes of the skull) and then through Wano (both of them being the Lands of Gold).

Moreover, the Dressrosa arc has also hinted at the importance of Skypiea, more specifically its ruler Enel (who was also known as the fake God). Enel's character parallels Doflamingo and even Kaido (who wanted to prove to the world that he was unkillable but was thrown into the lava by the Straw Hat Luffy).

However, the final saga is also hinted at the Skypiea arc through Vegapunk's words when he said that his cloud-producing technology would be the savior of mankind in the future (hinting at the island that rests on the sky, Skypiea). So, Elbaf arc was no different in this aspect.

One Piece chapter 1128 raw scans revealed the existence of a fake Sun God, as the real one was a historical personality (as revealed through the lore developed around it). So, Enel's parallel could be Elbaf's Sun God.

Moreover, the Straw Hat Pirates were also introduced to a new technology which was the see-through mirror. This could mirror the 'dials' that the Straw Hat Pirates found on Skypiea Island, which was also something new to them.

So, all of this could mean that the Straw Hat Pirates' current journey could end similarly to the Skypiea island where Luffy defeats Enel. However, this could be accompanied by other scenarios which are hard to predict but they could be predicted in the Skypiea arc already.

Final thoughts

Although the 'Don't Skip Skypiea arc' started as a joke, it soon diverted the attention of the majority of the fandom to this particular arc who did watch it but never considered it lore-worthy. With the theories of Enel's return and some others related to the future importance of Skypiea, the author could shed light on the current condition of this island.
