In this 2025 winter anime, the main character, Ein, is about to end his life by jumping off a cliff, reflecting on his misfortunes. However, the story shifts to the past, where Ein works as an appraiser alongside a warrior and a mage.

The two characters mistreat Ein, with the mage explaining that people are born with specific professions, and Ein’s job is to evaluate the strength of items from fallen enemies. The group later falls into a trap in a dungeon, surrounded by Hellhounds, and the warrior and mage betray Ein, using him as bait.

That is when the story takes a turn as Ein is almost eaten alive by the Hellhounds but manages to escape, ending with the scene at the beginning of him jumping. He is then seen in the legendary Yggdrasil tree and his wounds are healed, although he walks away and gets torn apart by even more powerful dungeons, with a mysterious mage saving his life.
