The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga chapters have been nothing short of entertaining now that the stakes are higher than ever. The latest chapter gave fans plenty of reasons to be excited since there was no shortage of development. While there were a slew of issues with the chapter, there are a few details that fans are attempting to break down.

One such element that intrigued the readers was the name that the Shinju used to refer to the protagonist of the series. Hidari, the Shinju that sealed Sasuke Uchiha, referred to the protagonist as Boruto Otsutsuki. Hidari was just one of many antagonists who called the protagonist by that name.

There are a few reasons why the protagonist is being called an Otsutuski. However, it is important to note that the manga has yet to reveal the reason behind this odd phenomenon. That being said, one can take a guess as to why the Shinju, and Hidari in particular, called the protagonist Boruto Otsutsuki.

There are several reasons why one might address the protagonist as an Otsutsuki. Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto are clearly hinting at a connection between the protagonist and the Otsutsuki Clan.

The majority of members of this clan have incredible powers, and the Otsutuski God is said to be one of the most powerful beings one could ever meet. As a result, one cannot deny the existence of a link between the clan and the protagonist, the nature of which will be revealed as the series progresses.

The Otsutsuki takeover

One potential reason why Hidari could have called the protagonist Boruto Otsutsuki could be due to the complete Otsutsuki takeover of his body. He was a vessel, which meant an Otsutsuki clan member could encode their DNA in the vessel and resurrect it should they ever die due to unforeseen circumstances. During the course of the manga series, it was revealed that the protagonist became a full-fledged Otsutsuki.

It could be possible that Hidari realized the presence of an Otsutsuki inside him, which compelled the Shinju to call him by the aforementioned name. This can also be supported by the incident that took place when the protagonist faced off with Kawaki for a brief period of time. He was forced to flee from the scene since he couldn’t control himself when the Karma got activated.

Presence of Otsutsuki chakra

Given that the Shinju are entities that have essentially emerged from the Ten-Tailed Beast chakra, they manifested into a physical form after sealing certain shinobis. The Ten-Tailed Beast and the Otsutsuki Clan do share a connection. The Shinju are entities that are attempting to figure out the world and learn more about their own existence. Therefore, seeing Hidari call the protagonist an Otsutsuki with certainty shows that there is a connection between the two.

Hidari probably relied on his senses and identified the nature of the chakra present within the protagonist. This could be another reason why Hidari called him by this particular name. However, there is no doubt that the manga will reveal a deeper connection as the series progresses. There are plenty of elements that are still shrouded in mystery, and their secrets will be unraveled as the story advances.
