Every Shinju's current state and location in Boruto Two Blue Vortex, explained

Boruto Two Blue Vortex has mostly focused on the Otsutsukis and how their entire clan functioned. Although the entire fanbase expected the Otsutsukis to be the sole antagonistic force in the series, Boruto Two Blue Vortex introduced the Shinjus, who quickly became involved with the plot.

As of chapter 10, two of the Shinjus have already launched an attack on the Hidden Leaf Ninjas. Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 11 will be released on June 20, 2024, and will mostly focus on the fight between Himawari and Jura.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Every Shinju and their current targets

Hidari, the Shinju born from Sasuke Uchiha's essence was inarguably the most confused Shinju in the beginning. By inheriting Sasuke's chakra and appearance, Hidari's desires shifted from seeking an Otsutsuki to targeting Sarada Uchiha, the person Sasuke cared for the most. Sasuke had sacrificed himself to ensure Boruto could protect Sarada, emphasizing his deep connection with her.

Despite this, Hidari planned to devour Sarada, driven by inherited desires and altered objectives that now prioritized personal connections over cosmic ones. Hidari was last seen in Konoha, engaging Sarada in a fight.

Matsuri was yet another Shinju that confused fans at first, but it was soon revealed that she was made from Moegi's essence. Consequently, Matsuri inherited Moegi's chakra and appearance. Instead of searching for an Otsutsuki, Matsuri targeted Konohamaru Sarutobi, reflecting the deep bond and friendship between Moegi and Konohamaru since childhood.

This connection altered Matsuri's objectives, making Konohamaru the primary target due to the inherited desires from Moegi's personality. Matsuri was last seen in the Shinju hideout and she is still there as of chapter 11.

A Shinju based on Bug emerged along with Jura and Hidari, inheriting Bug's essence and appearance. Unlike the typical Shinju targets, this one aimed at Eida. Although Bug did not have a profound connection with Eida, his infatuation with her, influenced by Amado's modifications, directed the Shinju's desires towards her.

This Shinju was last seen in the hideout along with Matsuri, and he is still probably in the hideout waiting for an opportunity to pursue Eida.

Jura, the leader of the new antagonist group, targeted Naruto Uzumaki. The manga has not yet revealed Jura's origin but it is possible that Jura is based on Jigen.

If a Claw Grime accessed Jigen's chakra, it would make sense for Jura to target Naruto, considering the history between Jigen and Naruto, particularly regarding Kawaki. Jura was last seen engaging Himawari in combat away from Konoha.

Currently, only two of the Shinju have left their hideout to pursue their targets, and the rest of the Shinju have seen no development other than the confirmation of their targets. Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 11 will mostly focus on the fight involving Himawari, but it is possible that the rest of the Shinju will also arrive in Konoha.
