The world of One Piece stands on the edge of a major conflict as the Elbaph arc is heading towards a massive battle between the giants and the Holy Knights. These knights have arrived in Elbaph searching for a giant named Loki. Among them, one resembles Shanks, while the other is wrapped in bandages.

A brief but powerful display by the bandaged woman caused a giant to fall to the ground, screaming in pain. This moment has sparked comparisons between the Holy Knights and the Death Eaters from Harry Potter, with some fans noting that certain elements of the Elbaph arc seem to draw inspiration from Harry Potter.

Similarities between the Elbaph Arc from One Piece and Harry Potter

One of the biggest similarities between One Piece's Elbaf arc and Harry Potter is the introduction of a Holy Knight who bears an uncanny resemblance to Shanks. This character was last seen meeting with the Five Elders in chapter 907 of the manga. At the time, fans believed it was the Yonko meeting with the Five Elders, but it has since become clear that it was his twin.

The cloak worn by Shanks' twin in chapter 1134 confirms that he is the one who was talking to the Five Elders in Mary Geoise. Another distinct difference between the two is the absence of the giant scar on the twin's face. However, this massive twist is reminiscent of the Weasley twins, Fred and George, and the mischief they caused as people couldn't decipher which twin was which.

One Piece's Elbaph arc has also given fans a glimpse of the Holy Knights' powers. They emerged from a summoning circle in a castle near the Western Village of Elbaph, identical to the one used by the Five Elders. One of these knights was Shanks' twin, while the other was a woman wrapped in bandages.

The bandaged woman asked two of the guards in the castle where to find the giant named Loki. When the guards refused to answer her, one of them collapsed to the ground, screaming in pain. This hints that the Holy Knights possess powerful curse abilities, similar to the "Unforgivable Curses" from Harry Potter.

One of these curses is the Cruciatus Curse, which causes excruciating pain to the subject and was mainly used by the Death Eaters to torture people, similar to what the giant experienced in One Piece Chapter 1135 raw scans.

The Holy Knights are similar to the Death Eaters in more ways, using teleportation magic and torturing people. They act as enforcers for Imu, similar to how the Death Eaters existed to enact the will of Voldemort. The similarities don't end there, with these two organizations also having similar goals of world domination.

It is likely that Imu's powers come from black magic rather than a Devil Fruit, and they have shared their powers with the Five Elders and the Holy Knights. When Saturn failed to capture the Straw Hats, Imu took back the powers he was given, stripping him of his immortality. This could mean that the Holy Knights are also powered by this same dark magic.

Imu is strikingly similar to Voldemort as an antagonist, with both being essentially immortal and using dark magic to further their goals. They are both ruthless and uncaring, with people who stand in their way meeting a tragic end.

On a positive note, the Elbaph arc in One Piece has also reunited Robin with the giant Saul, who gave his life to protect Robin during the Ohara incident. Saul thus acts much like Hagrid did for Ron, Harry, and Hermione. These are just a few of the similarities the current One Piece arc has with the Harry Potter series.
