The first PV for the anime adaptation of Sakamoto Days has introduced its main character, Taro Sakamoto. Once hailed as the greatest assassin of all time, Sakamoto used to be a slim and sleek young man with large round glasses and hair tied up in a bun. He is seen smoking a cigarette and wielding a gun, and effortlessly taking down a bunch of guys.

However, it is shown that his life as a hitman came to an end when he chose to settle down with his wife, and then he became a father. He now manages a store and has gained a bit of weight. Yet, it appears that his past life has refused to let up on him, and he has regular encounters with assassins. The video teases plenty of action in store for viewers.

The Sakamoto Days anime will feature several eccentric characters. This includes the cool and composed assassin Sakamoto, his wife Aoi Sakamoto, and their daughter Hana.

Other important characters include Shin, who possesses telepathic abilities, and Lu Shaotang, a martial arts expert. Manga readers are already aware that some very interesting assassins will be introduced as the series progresses, like Nagumo and Uzuki.
