What to expect in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime?
This anime will mainly adapt the continuation of the original manga, titled Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest. The 100 Years Quest was a plot point built up throughout numerous episodes of the original series, with no actual payoff until the very end. The series will introduce a new generation of Dragon Slayers and numerous dragon gods who survived Acnologia's dragon slaughter.
Episode 1 begins with a flashback to the year X633, where an old man establishes the first wizard guild after his village is destroyed. In the present day, Max introduces three new members to Fairy Tail. Although two are scared away by Laxus, Touka remains, joining out of affection for Natsu, who previously saved her from bandits. Makarov informs her that Natsu is currently on a hundred-year quest.
In Guiltina, Team Natsu arrives at the ancient Magia Dragon guild, where they encounter snow-like Ethernano. They find the guild deserted but soon meet Elefseria, the Law Dragon, who reveals that he was once human and is a self-taught Dragon Slayer. Despite his warnings about the quest's dangers, Team Natsu remains resolute. The anime will focus on Team Natsu traveling through different continents to subdue the dragon gods.
Fans of the original series will find Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest a direct continuation, addressing many plot points that were teased in the original series. This new arc will address many missing characters and plot holes that were observed in the original series.
