When Wendy asks for the power to defeat Nebaru, Irene coldly tells her that he cannot be saved as his transformation into a dragon is irreversible, and the only solution is to kill him. Wendy refuses to take a life, even her enemy’s, but Irene forcefully takes control of her body and casts a powerful spell.

In the aftermath of the spell, Nebaru lies unconscious, having been reverted to his human form. Rather than killing him, Irene used a Separation Enchantment to strip Nebaru of his Dragon Slayer powers, rendering him powerless. Wendy is relieved that her opponent is alive but no longer a threat.

Irene briefly reflects on her own history, wishing the same magic could have been used on her long ago. Meanwhile, Gray narrowly defeats a weakened Mirajane, and Cana successfully captures her, Elfman, Makarov, Gajeel, Levy, and Panther Lily in magical cards. As the team wonders who else is still standing, Cana’s fortune-telling reveals that both Laxus and Jellal are out of commission.
