As episode 16 of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest continues, Natsu faces the God Seed Wolfen, who sprouts from the ground, grabbing Natsu and reading his memories. Instead of resisting, Natsu urges him to look deeper. Wolfen scoffs at Natsu, thinking he was foolish to bring such powerful magic to the battlefield, and warns that he doesn’t stand a chance.

The God Seed then transforms into Zeref, reminding Natsu that he remains a part of Aldoron. Unfazed, Natsu tricks Wolfen into revealing his concern for the Wood Dragon God. This accidental confession activates a curse that brings a wave of death, causing nearby sprouts and trees to wither.

While trapped underground, Natsu hears a voice describing the five guardian deities within Aldoron’s five orbs. The voice identifies itself as Aldoron, the Wood Dragon God’s brain and the leader of the God Seeds.

Thrilled at the chance to fight a human-sized opponent, Natsu taunts Aldoron. But the God Seed warns that all his power is concentrated in his smaller form. Before Natsu can react, Aldoron injures his arm, causing him to fall to one knee.

Aldoron taunts Natsu further, explaining how he arrived in Guiltina after an injury from Acnologia. Unable to control his size, he created the five guardian orbs, which kept him alive and strong. With his power restored, Aldoron vows to reduce everything to dust. Determined to stop him, Natsu tries to retaliate but is struck down once more.

Back in Right Hand Town, the Fairy Tail wizards struggle to defeat Metro’s golems due to their resilience. Gray and Juvia decide to take on Metro himself, but he summons yet another golem to shield him. In Left Hand Town, Jellal suspects that Gears has harmed Erza, while Gears cryptically mentions the gears of fate turning.

Over in Right Shoulder Town, Carla faces Doom and kicks him, only for spores to cover her body and cause a flower to sprout on her head. Doom warns her that a petal will fall every minute, marking her path toward death.

Wendy tries to dispel the curse using Raise, but Doom explains that it is not a mere status ailment, but a manifestation of Carla’s fate. One petal falls, and Doom mockingly asks who will join his game next. Wendy, low on Magic Power, becomes distraught.

As things seem bleak, Max and several other Fairy Tail members arrive and blow away Doom’s spores with sand. They try to save Carla as Doom attacks them with a Spore Stream, thrilled to have more victims to play with. Max tries to clear the spores again but is repelled.
