Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 2 review has been quite positive. The anime series effectively built on the momentum created by the first episode. The exposition in the first episode meant that there wasn't much action at the outset.

However, the second episode delivered plenty of action and introduced a host of new characters. The significant progression in this episode kept the audience engaged. While it was an enjoyable episode, there was nothing extraordinary about the episode.

Overall, this installment of the anime series will require some time for fans to fully grasp what’s at stake for Natsu and his friends.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 2 review: J.C. Staff keeps the ball rolling

As mentioned earlier, J.C. Staff ensured that Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 2 capitalized on the momentum from the previous episode. The second episode of any series is quite important. While the first episode sets the tone for the season, the second episode needs to retain the viewer base by progressing the story, introducing older characters, or through fight sequences.

In this episode, there was a brief fight sequence, the introduction of new characters, and an exploration of the relationship between the townspeople and the Water Dragon God.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 2 review: Strategic introduction of new characters

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest introduces many new characters due to the quest's requirement for the main characters to travel to a different continent. Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 2 didn’t just introduce any new character, it introduced a Dragon Slayer, Kiria.

Kiria was held captive by the townsfolk, who intended to sacrifice her to the Water Dragon God. She hails from a guild called Diabolos. This is a guild that specifically recruits Fifth Generation Dragon Slayers. These Dragon Slayers are mages who upgrade their powers purely by consuming the flesh of the Dragons they defeat.

She was strong enough to break through Gray Fullbuster’s ice. She was strong enough to make Natsu Dragneel worried, which gave fans a glimpse of just how strong she was. The show also introduced Madmole, who took a hit from Ezra’s blade on his head. There was no sign of damage, which also indicated his durability in battle.

The second episode ended with a massive cliffhanger. The entire town was underwater, forcing Natsu Dragneel and his comrades to drink a potion from a hotel manager to adapt to the new environment. Suddenly, the city was no longer submerged, and all the water vanished. This startled everyone since they could feel the presence of a strong entity.

That’s when the Water Dragon God made his appearance. As per the quest details, he was one of the five dragons that needed to be sealed or defeated. The episode introduced the first major antagonist, who needs to be defeated by Natsu and his crew. This was a great way to conclude the episode.
