Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 2 began with Team Natsu arriving at Ermina Town and staying at Hotel Journey, where they met Kashima, an anthropomorphic fish who later assumed human form. Kashima instructed them to consume the beverages in their rooms to survive the town's daily submersion at high tide, granting them underwater breathing and enhanced swimming skills.

While enjoying their underwater stay, the team learned of Kashima's loyalty to Mercphobia, the Water Dragon God, leading to a confrontation with aggressive fish followers. Meanwhile, in Magnolia, Gajeel and Juvia investigated Touka, a Fairy Tail Mage with a mysterious tail and Water Magic.

Later at Sabertooth guild, Jellal sought help in finding Touka, cautioning against contacting her. Back in Ermina, Team Natsu transformed into sea creatures using Gemini’s power to investigate further. They discovered a woman with a mysterious guild mark chained in a cell.

The woman eventually revealed herself as Kiria, a Dragon Eater from Diabolos, a guild of fifth-generation dragon slayers. Kiria engaged the team in battle, showcasing her dragon-slaying abilities, and was temporarily subdued by Gray. The real Mercphobia then descended, displaying his human form and expressing annoyance at the disturbance caused by Team Natsu and Kiria.
