Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 6's review has been quite positive. The animation studio seems to have finally put in enough effort to please the fanbase. Although certain areas were lacking in the episode, the jump in quality was substantial, and the fanbase seems pleased with J.C. Staff’s efforts this time.

The episode had plenty of positives, but the main one was the animation. The overall animation quality improved, and the pacing of this episode was far better than the previous ones. The episode also had many interesting elements, as it introduced the Fire Dragon God, who also happens to be Igneel’s biological son. It will be interesting to see him square off against Natsu, who also has Igneel’s flames in him.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 6 review — J.C. Staff bounces back with better animation

The previous episode suffered from poor animation due to the sheer frequency of still frames. However, the latest episode certainly showed a massive improvement in the animation quality. The particle effects were far better and not generic this time. The effects used to enhance Natsu and Ignia’s flames improved the overall viewing experience.

Furthermore, the fight sequences were more dynamic this time, owing to better camera angles. The icing on the cake was how the dragons were animated. Ignia and Mercphobia’s clash, followed by Natsu’s transformation after consuming Ignia’s flames, were the highlights of this episode. Fans were quite pleased with J.C. Staff’s efforts in this episode, and they hope to see similar episodes produced soon.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 6's pacing was far better since there was a good mix of action and character interactions. Much of the episode’s progression depends on the manga, and credit certainly goes to the source material. However, the animation studio did a good job with the editing, ensuring a seamless and fast-paced episode.

Another reason the progression felt better in this episode was the introduction of a new character. The 100 Years Quest involves the destruction of the Five Dragon Gods. Not only was a new Dragon God introduced in the series, but he also happened to be related to Igneel. This made the episode interesting as the main character, Natsu Dragneel, now has a rival to fight against.

The introduction of Ignia came at the right time, and the manner in which they animated his flames and human form ensured an entertaining viewing experience.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest episode 6 review — Areas of improvement

One area that was lacking was how Natsu Dragneel’s transformation was animated. It was great for the most part, but there was one issue in particular. When we compare the manga panel, we can see the details of Natsu’s physique in the new transformation.

However, too much importance was given to the particle effects that covered Natsu’s body, removing essential details that fans would have enjoyed. This was the only issue fans seemed to have had with the latest episode, and netizens hope to see J.C. Staff to maintain the quality that the latest episode had.
