Berserk anime adaptations have never really worked well, and studios have failed to capture the series’ essence. Furthermore, there can be a lot of pressure on the animators since this title is considered to be one of the best manga series of all time. Kentaro Miura is credited with making some of the most visually stimulating art, which made him a cut above the rest.

Despite the poor track record that anime adaptations have had, there is one fan animation studio called Studio Eclypse that made a trailer video showcasing important moments from the manga. This fan-made trailer was far better than what most top-performing animation studios have put out in the past for the Berserk anime.

Fans saw the trailer, and they loved every frame of the video. Their excitement was through the roof since the fan animation studio will adapt the Black Swordsman arc of the Berserk manga series.

Why did fans react to the fan-made Berserk anime trailer?

Berserk anime, unfortunately, has never been enjoyable because the animation studios in the past have compromised on the animation quality. There were other issues, such as pacing and the lack of a good art style, that impeded the overall viewing experience. Since this was the case, fans didn’t have high hopes for a fan-made animated trailer for the popular manga series.

When Studio Eclypse launched its trailer, it took the entire fanbase by surprise. The trailer was incredibly well done, capturing Guts in a manner that was better than what other professional studios had done. The particle effects and the animated sequences featuring Casca showcased a high degree of skill.

The sound department also enhanced the overall viewing experience by utilizing accurate and crisp sound effects in the video. Naturally, fans were excited to see a good Berserk anime video after many years, and their excitement was channeled through their comments on X (formerly known as Twitter).
