Apart from Spike Spiegel, there's another character that Cowboy Bebop fans are particularly fond of - and it's none other than Faye Valentine, the beautiful violet-haired deuteragonist of the series. In addition to being the owner and pilot of the Red Tail, Faye was also one of the main members of the bounty-hunting crew aboard the Bebop.
What fans adore the most about Faye is perhaps how her personality and feelings for her crew members slowly developed throughout the series, along with her extraordinary capabilities in a firefight. As such, it makes sense as to why fans were eager to witness the character make her debut on the big screen.
Although fans ended up being disappointed with her character in the Netflix live-action series, a recent Faye Valentine cosplay sent the Cowboy Bebop fandom over the moon. They could not believe how impressively the cosplayer had managed to bring the character to life.
How a Faye Valentine cosplay captured the hearts of Cowboy Bebop fans?
Given how popular and beloved Faye Valentine was in the original Cowboy Bebop series, it's understandable why fans were eager to see the character get adapted to the big screens. However, the Netflix live-action adaptation ended up disappointing hardcore fans of the series, who were especially furious at how the series handled Faye's character.
Fortunately for the fandom, a recent cosplay of Faye Valentine revitalized them, as they went on to wish that Netflix had shown as much dedication or care in adapting the character.
What impressed fans the most was the fact that the cosplayer had managed to perfectly encapsulate Faye's unbothered personality in the cosplay. As such, almost the entire Cowboy Bebop fandom showered the cosplayer with praise and appreciation for doing proper justice to the character.
Faye Valentine is arguably one of Cowboy Bebop's most beloved characters, and for good reason. In addition to her arrogance and poor impulse control, Faye had a long series of bad habits, including pathological gambling, alcoholism, unwarranted violence, and her addiction to smoking an excessive amount of cigarettes and cigars.
In spite of all these traits, Faye was a surprisingly clever character, who often used her looks to create distractions or opportunities to exploit. While she initially avoided trusting anyone or getting too close to others, Faye's character eventually developed a lot throughout the series. She slowly learned to trust her companions and cared for them in her own way.
While she did run away from them on several occasions, it was later explained that she did so because she was scared of her affection towards her companions. It was also due to her fear of being abandoned by them. However, she always ended up returning to her companions, which showcased just how much she cared about them.
