The Boruto animanga series is a sequel to Masashi Kishimoto’s magnum opus. While it might be quite entertaining for fans to read, there are plenty of loopholes and inconsistencies in the story.
There are glaring issues like female character portrayal, the power scaling, and the sheer matchups seen throughout the series. However, one particular fan pointed out something that left the fandom speechless.
The problem isn’t as noticeable and has therefore never been discussed. However, the nature of the problem is such that it’s quite hard to notice it while watching the series. But, once it has been brought to the fandom’s notice, the reactions are rather drastic, to say the least. Some fans were shocked which resulted in animated reactions like "for real???"
What is the truth that has been overlooked in the Boruto manga?
The one fact that has been overlooked in the manga is that it never really rained in the series. This is one of those observations that makes fans question themselves and whether or not they even watched the series. The anime has been going on for years. However, there wasn’t a single episode where it rained in the sequel series.
This was quite shocking to fans since rain isn’t something that viewers pay attention to. This is because weather isn’t important in the grand scheme of things, especially when people’s lives are in danger. However, it does explain why the anime series can feel monotonous at times since there is no change in season. These subtle details in visuals add a layer of freshness to the series which is quite lacking in the series.
When fans realized that it had never rained, they were in utter disbelief. Some even questioned why this was the case. However, one thing is common and that fans were quite surprised by the fact that there was no rain and the fact that a netizen pointed out something that was hidden in plain sight.
How fans reacted to the observation
"I thought I was the only ni**a to always remind myself of that fact", said one fan
"you're not alone", said another
"No form of precipitation in 91 chapters. I love boruto but sometimes", said one netizen
While most fans were shocked to see the lack of rainfall in the series, some have been reminding others for quite some time. While netizens admit their love for the anime series, they have also indicated their frustration with certain underperforming elements.
"Bro can't do rain, double page spreads, or high page counts. What can Ikemoto do?", said one fan
"nah he's the goat", said another
"It would be hard for ikemoto to draw a rain bro, he barely drew a background, and now you want him to draw rain", said one netizen
Fans took this opportunity to criticize the illustrations of Mikio Ikemoto. They believe that his illustrations are quite average and lackluster since it doesn't involve engaging backgrounds. Since he has a reputation for not drawing intricate backgrounds, fans don't have high expectations from him and are therefore, not surprised that there wasn't any rain in the series.
