Frieren: Beyond Journey's End chapter 134 — The Shadow Warriors prepare for the battle as they counter track Frieren

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End chapter 134 was released on September 25, 2024, on VIZ Media. The chapter saw the Shadow Warriors enjoy the calm before their assassination attempt on Serie. Besides that, one of the Shadow Warriors detected tracking magic on the silver coins. Elsewhere, the elven mage found out that they were being counter-tracked.

In the previous chapter, the Shadow Warriors met to discuss how to nullify Serie's bodyguards, especially Frieren and Sense. As per Commander Lowe's instructions, the Shadow Warriors formed teams to strengthen their chances of victory.

On the other hand, Frieren informed Stark and Fern that she had used Pursuit Magic on the silver coins she gave to Gazelle to track the Shadow Warriors' location.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End chapter 134: Wehrlos informs Clematis about the escape route

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End chapter 134, titled Track Back, begins with Wehrlos, the dwarven Shadow Warrior arriving at Clematis's place. Clematis invites him in and asks him about the course of events.

Wehrlos informs the priest that the escape route from the Unified Empire era is still usable. Interestingly, his report differs from the one Clematis received from Routine, which states that the midway point of the escape route is completely submerged in water and thus impassable.

However, Wehrlos assures Clematis that he went there himself to check. He feels that much water won't be a problem for a warrior, as long as they don't lose their bearings in the darkness. Wehrlos feels the escape route can be cleared within 20 minutes.

Clematis is glad to know about Wehrlos' feats. He asks him to sit down and talk things through since he's one of the greatest assets of the Shadow Warriors. Clematis asks sister Lore to bring some tea in Frieren: Beyond Journey's End chapter 134. However, the sister refuses as she heads out to buy some wine for the ceremony.

As Clematis searches for some tea in the kitchen, Wehrlos tells him that only he in the Shadow thinks highly of him; the dwarven warrior feels Commander Lowe has become stronger than him. As such, Wehrlos wishes he were only ten years younger. However, Clematis feels Wehrlos still has monstrous abilities despite his old age.

The narrative for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End chapter 134 switches the perspective to Lore, who purchases wine for the Foundation Day Ceremony, along with Schritt, Gazelle, and others. Gazelle feels Schritt and Lore are out of their mind for taking things lightly since they could die in two days.

However, Wolf reminds him that the lives of the Shadow Warriors are all about enjoying little "everyday moments." During their conversation, Sister Lore notices Wolf carrying a few silver coins.

She observes them for a while and finds a tracking spell from the coins. Gazelle can't believe it, but Lore says it's only fair because silver acts as a catalyst that covers up the mana. She suspects the spell's caster is a highly skilled mage. With their location compromised, Lore tells Wolf and Gazelle to prepare for the battle.

Elsewhere, Frieren detects something something unusual. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End chapter 134 ends with the elven mage telling Stark and Fern that the Shadow Warriors have counter-tracked them.
