Episode 1, "The Old Man Turned Into The Villainess," introduced 52-year-old salaryman Kenzaboro Tondabayashi and how he ended up as an Otome Game villainess — reincarnated after a car accident. But he—or rather, she—revealed that she knew nothing about how such a game worked.
It began with a glimpse of the game world he was in — Magical Academy: Love & Beast — an otome game his daughter played. Thus, he was Grace Auvergne, a Royal Academy of Magic student. Soon after, the deuteragonist was also introduced, the clumsy Anna Doll. But instead of talking down to her, being the villainess, Kenzaboro acknowledged her achievement of enrollment at the academy.
The scene then shifted to a short dialogue between Grace and Anna. The latter's parents worked hard to enable her to study at the academy. In return, Grace suggested that she, too, work hard and live a happy life. At this point, Crown Prince Virgile, Anna's potential love interest and the villainess' current fiance, was introduced.
However, given Kenzaboro's varying actions, the events have not progressed as they did in the original game.
The next bit introduced the academy's principal and Grace (Kenzaboro) using her years of experience as a cheat skill to adapt. She ended the opening ceremony as the freshmen students' representative. However, there was one issue — Anna liked her instead of disliking her. She viewed Grace (Kenzaboro) as a proper upper-class lady who had given her the gift of friendship.
But in reality, Grace (Kenzaboro) was trying to act more like a villainess, which failed at each turn because she could not act rudely. There was then a brief scene involving Virgile and a red-haired character—they were discussing which of the freshmen should join the student council. At present, Anna and Grace (Kenzaboro) are strong options.
The episode concluded with a scene in the royal cafeteria. True to her adult life in the real world, Grace (Kenzaboro) put on an excellent display of table etiquette, wowing everyone present. Her final action of sending her compliments to the chef would become a tradition at the academy. Thus, Grace's (Kenzaboro) colorful isekai life in this otome game began.

Episode 1 set the stage for Grace's (Kenzaboro) new life in the isekai world. Enrolled at the Royal Magic Academy, she would now need to play the role of villainess and torment Anna Doll.
