Since the start of Chainsaw Man part 2, fans have been having doubts about the series's proceedings. While fans loved the characters and their interactions, the plot never seemed to click like it did in the first part.

Fortunately, the recent developments in the manga have seemingly put the story back on track as it reminded fans of an antagonist from the first part, the infamous Gun Devil. With that, the manga has nudged fans into realizing how high the stakes are right now in the series.

This was especially evident due to the War Devil's latest move that effectively made it clear how strong the Four Horsemen were in Chainsaw Man.

As seen in Chainsaw Man part 1, the Gun Devil was a major antagonist in the series, so much so that the majority of the series's plot revolved around its existence. The Gun Devil was capable of creating chaos around the world, killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in just a few seconds.

The Devil was also why many people plunged into the career of Devil Hunters. While the pay was good, most of them only got into it because they lost their loved ones to the Gun Devil. Hence, while working as Devil Hunters, they hoped to get back at the devil for ruining their lives.

However, the latest developments from Chainsaw Man part 2 helped fans realize a fact that fans had seemingly forgotten. The Four Horsemen were far stronger than any threat posed by Gun Devil. This is because, to War Devil, the Gun Devil was her child.

After realizing that Denji was Chainsaw Man, War Devil Yoru realized that she would not be satisfied after killing Denji. Nevertheless, she could not abandon her mission as she wanted to reclaim something from the Chainsaw Man. While Chapter 176 does not reveal whom Yoru wanted to reclaim, there is a good chance they are the nuclear weapons she mentioned in the first chapter of Chainsaw Man part 2.

Unfortunately, for this mission, she only had two weapons she could use to defeat the Chainsaw Devil, both of which were so precious to her that losing them would run counter to saving her comrades. Nevertheless, when push came to shove, Yoru decided to use her two weapons that were seemingly her children.

The two weapons were the Gun Devil and Tank Devil. Evidently, the Soviet Union owned 28% of the Gun Devil and the Tank Devil was located at the Devil Containment Facility in the Gulf of Mexico. Yoru summoned both devils telepathically and had them manifest into her two arms. The sheer fact that Gun Devil, a major antagonist from the first part now acted only as a weapon for the War Devil in Chainsaw Man part 2 proves how powerful the Four Horsemen are.
