In Chainsaw Man chapter 188, Tatsuki Fujimoto may have hinted at the true master of the Aging Devil. The chapter started with Yoshida being regurgitated by Denji after asking Pochita to bring up a useful Devil, adding intrigue to the chaotic situation due to Yoshida's strange character.

However, this feature will shift focus to the manga's creator hinting at who might be controlling the Aging Devil. A recently surfaced theory suggests that the Famine Devil or Fami is the one pulling the strings from the darkness, deceiving everyone as she slowly marches to her ultimate goal. It would make sense if she was, considering the way her character has been constructed.

Chainsaw Man chapter 188 brought with it intriguing developments. The addition of Yoshida to the narrative certainly stirs things up. Needless to mention, the chapter also fuels speculation of what might happen next. One such concern surrounds the Aging Devil's overseer. A recent theory speculates that Fami is the one controlling Aging, similar to how she did the Falling Devil.

The theory builds on what Yoshida says after he understands Denji and Asa/Yoru's predicament - why the Aging Devil was behaving oddly. It states that Fami was the mastermind behind Aging and Public Safety's alliance.

The theory backs its claims by comparing Fami's control over the Falling Devil, i.e., only Fami can control a Primal Devil and here, Aging Needs to be eaten, the deal only being a facade.

Further, the theory points out that Fami was too mysterious and even the prophesy she spoke of seemed fishy. This is given that only herself and Barem Bridge referred to it.

Fami has been absent during key moments in the story, including her absence in the current chapter. She was also the one who suggested Denji and his group visit the sushi place where they met Barem, indicating she had prior knowledge and set the stage for Barem's involvement with Nayuta.

The theory suggests that, in true Fujimoto style, Fami could reveal herself as a more complex character, potentially after the Aging Devil fight.

Fami's peculiarity adds fuel to the fire

Undoubtedly, this theory stemming from Chainsaw Man chapter 188 is quite convincing. Fami's puzzling behavior and actions do not help her case when it comes to believing that she might be the true mastermind behind all this chaos. Yoshida's words do ring alarm bells, as the Aging Devil could easily kill Denji and Asa/Yoru but hasn't done so already.

There could be another reason behind this - staying true to its aim, it wants to see humans reach the pinnacle of knowledge. By doing so, they never die, i.e., become trees, but are trapped in their immortality. With death not an option, War and Hunger breaks out as resources dwindle and hence, Yoru and Fami grow in power immensely. But even that is speculation at this point.

Moving on, it is odd that only Fami, Barem and the Chainsaw Man Church seem to push Nostradamus' "Age of Devils" Prophecy. Practically, no other character has really spoke of it, explored it or even explained it.

Again, Fami disappearing abruptly is a concern - many are likely wondering where she is or what she might be doing as Chainsaw Man and the Aging Devil tear at each other.

Lastly, there has to be some link in Fami suggesting the sushi place where Barem was and Nayuta's head was put on display. The setting was all too convenient for the subsequent events to occur as they did. Fami might have guessed that Denji and Pochita would rampage upon Nayuta's head and hence set things up that way.

The above-explained theory does hold weight considering the current progression of events. Chainsaw Man chapter 188 took the story forward a little and brought lots of speculation along for the ride. Yoshida himself is intriguing enough and now ushering in thoughts about Fami make the narrative more puzzling still.

Indeed, Fami's abrupt disappearances, strangely accurate and coincidental decisions and scary ability to control Primal Fears furthers her as Aging's master. Initially, the Death Devil was speculated to be the one behind Aging's actions, but recent developments and hypothesis place Fami at the forefront.

Whatever Fujimoto might be cooking up could reach a boiling point soon and as for Fami's role, only time will tell.
