In the previous chapter, Corvus told Rudo the secret behind the Cleaners organization's foundation. Rudo believed Corvus's words and decided to help the Cleaners find the secret about the sphere and the ground's connection. On the other hand, the chapter hinted at a connection between Corvus and Zoldyl.

Picking up the events from the previous chapter, Gachiakuta chapter 116 begins with Arkha Corvus telling Rudo that the Cleaners were formed to solve the world's mysteries. According to the leader, many ancient texts found on the ground gradually lost the essential facts.

Although the majority of those texts were about the relationship between the sphere and the ground, their authors deliberately concealed the truth. Pressing questions, such as why the world was divided, and what happened between the sphere and the ground, could never be found.

That said, there still exists faint clues about the world, such as the one Rudo saw in the Canvas Town's Macaca Icol's mural. The first cleaner noticed those clues and started to search for more. However, the nature of the ground, with the mountains of waste and a sporadic number of trash beasts, made it difficult to find those clues.

That's why The Cleaners was formed, an organization to clean the Trash Beasts and clear the debris that may hide the world's secrets. Rudo asks Corvus why he didn't tell him these things when he joined the Cleaners. Corvus says he wanted Rudo to experience the zeal to want such information.

It has also been revealed that most people working at the Cleaners are unaware of its actual purpose. Since many have joined the organization for different purposes, it's Arkha Corvus's hardest job to ensure he can "use" them to unearth the truth for his "friend." He adds that he wants to use Rudo too.

Uplifted by Corvus's words, Rudo quits being "Rudo the Spherite" and becomes Rudo Surebrec, a Cleaner. He extends his arm to Corvus and promises to help the organization.

Following that, the chapter transitions to a haunting memory of a person whose sister is being taken away. The person wants to seek revenge against the world that has wronged them. A panel later, we see Zodyl sitting in front of a girl lying on the bed.

Gachiakuta chapter 117 will likely explore Arkha Corvus's past and his connection with his "friend" he mentioned. Subtle details in the previous chapter hint at Zodyl as that friend, especially with how the chapter transitioned from Arkha Corvus's thoughts to Zodyl.

Besides that, the chapter may show Corvus telling Rudo what he must do next. On the other hand, the Doll Festival is around the corner, so Rudo and Enjin may want to get ready for that event.
