Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 is set to be released on May 20, 2024. But the spoilers could have extinguished any hope of Nobara's return as the chapter featured a dead sorcerer's return.
The chapter saw Aoi using Boogie Woogie against the King of Curses (Sukuna) and confusing the villain, thus making the latter frustrated. The spotlight of the chapter was the return of a sorcerer who was featured as a mysterious silhouette, which the majority of the fandom speculated to be Gojo Satoru.
Gojo Satoru was confirmed dead as he was sliced into two pieces by Sukuna, whereas Nobara was only fatally injured and still hasn't reappeared in the final fight. This indicates that her return wouldn't be possible anytime soon.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Exploring why Nobara's return not happening is unfair to her character
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 commenced with Aoi revealing the apparatus that helped him activate his cursed technique Boogie Woogie, the Vibroslap. The apparatus restricted the number of times he used his cursed technique but it was good enough to transport everyone out of the range of Sukuna's domain.
After doing this, the tag team of Aoi and Yuji attacked the King of Curses with Yuji landing his blows assisted by Boogie Woogie. Surprisingly, Sukuna couldn't comprehend how Aoi's cursed technique worked and kept trying to hit the protagonist.
Yuji snuck on him and pierced his chest, but the King of Curses now had him near and tried to activate his domain. A mysterious silhouette appeared and stopped Sukuna from doing so. The narrator's description of the silhouette indicated that it was Gojo Satoru, thus bringing hope for his return among the fans.
With Gojo Satoru's return, the comeback of Kugisaki Nobara was also brought to light. Nobara was fatally injured by Mahito during the Shibuya arc and since then, she hasn't reappeared. Gojo Satoru, on the other hand, died at the hands of Sukuna in the Shibuya Showdown arc, the ongoing arc, and his return was indicated in chapter 260.
Other than Nobara, there are some injured characters from the series who have made a return to the series. For instance, Aoi Todou was mortally wounded in the last fight against Mahito during the Shibuya arc but he came back in chapter 259.
Ichiji, the assistant director of Jujutsu High, was also fatally stabbed by Haruta Shigemo but he reappeared during the Culling Game arc. Moreover, forgotten characters like Miguel and the other members of Geto's group have also made an appearance in the fight against Sukuna.
With the way things are going, there is a chance that artist Gege Akutami might bring dead characters like Geto, just like he did with Gojo, before Nobara's return to the manga series. This is unfair to Nobara's character as her cursed technique, the Straw Doll Technique, could be a game-changer against Sukuna.
What if Nobara's return has already happened?
Besides the final face-off against Sukuna, the fight between Uraume and Hakari is also in progress. But there could be another battle that hasn't been showcased in the manga that is still ongoing and that could be Nobara versus Mahito. In chapter 243, after Kenjaku died at the hands of Okkotsu Yuta, all of his absorbed cursed spirits were released.
As fans might remember, one of these spirits was the unregistered special-grade spirit, Mahito. With Mahito currently on the loose, why hasn't he interfered in the battle against Sukuna?
There could be a chance that Nobara also returned to the battle and is holding off the special-grade cursed spirit to take revenge on Mahito for what he did to her during the Shibuya arc. The manga isn't showcasing her fight which is why this makes sense, but take this with a grain of salt and wait for the official confirmation.
