Jujutsu Kaisen fans have been eagerly anticipating Megumi comeback for quite some time. Given that the past few chapters of the manga have seen the return of long-forgotten characters like Miguel and Larue, fans are growing impatient waiting for the return of the series' deuteragonist, who has been out of action ever since Ryomen Sukuna took control of his body.

Megumi Fushiguro's fate looks particularly bleak in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. Although the rest of the sorcerers have been fighting tirelessly to free him from Sukuna's control, Megumi himself seems to have lost all his will to fight back.

However, a Megumi comeback seems more likely to happen in the upcoming chapters of the manga, as the latest development in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 finally gave fans hope for his return.

Hana's reappearance in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 might lead to a Megumi comeback

In one of the biggest twists in Jujutsu Kaisen's Culling Game arc, Ryomen Sukuna took control of Megumi Fushiguro's body by exploiting a loophole in the Binding Vow he had formed with Yuji Itadori.

In contrast to Yuji, Megumi did not have the ability to restrict Sukuna inside his body, which allowed the King of Curses to subdue him completely and take over his body and his Ten Shadows Cursed Technique. From thereon, things only went downhill for Megumi, as he could do nothing but helplessly watch Sukuna kill his sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro, and his mentor, Satoru Gojo, with his own Cursed Technique.

Given everything Megumi has endured, his lack of resolve is understandable. However, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 finally managed to turn things around for Megumi, as Hana Kurusu showed up towards the end of the chapter to blast Sukuna with the full force of Jacob's Ladder.

Now that even Yuta (in Gojo's body) is seemingly down for the count, Hana's return to the battlefield could not have happened at a better time. Throughout the chapter, Yuji managed to land some deadly strikes on the King of Curses and even used Dismantle, further weakening his control over Megumi's body.

Hana hitting Sukuna with the Maximum Output of her Jacob's Ladder technique was confirmed to be the sorcerers' trump card against the King of Curses. Although using this technique at the eleventh hour of the battle doesn't necessarily guarantee a victory for the sorcerers, it would at the very least end Sukuna's control over Megumi's body.

Considering the accumulated damage Sukuna has suffered from Yuji's Soul strikes, a Maximum Output Jacob's Ladder could potentially be the decisive blow needed to end Sukuna's control over Megumi.

Fans are hopeful for a Megumi comeback following Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 236

Hana using her Jacob's Ladder on Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 236 has reignited hope among fans for a Megumi comeback in the following chapters.

As such, fans on social media have collectively started cheering for his long-awaited return to the story, so that he may finally step up and help his allies defeat the King of Curses for good.

"I CAN SEE MEGUMI COMING BACK NEXT PAGE," one fan claimed.
"I’m praying we get feral megumi too… our boy needs to get revenge," one X user commented.
"There's no need to wake him up, he'll wake up on his own, trust him," another chimed in.
"MEGUMI PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WAKE UP," one fan pleaded.
