In the final chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami expounds upon the Simple Domain, further deepening the lore of this series just before its ending. It is one of the most important anti-domain methods Yuji Itadori learned within a month's training through soul swaps with Atsuya Kusakabe.

This technique proved vital in Yuji's defense against Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine as he was able to resist the expansion of that domain for almost 99 seconds.

The former head of the New Shadow Style had the ability to cast Binding Vows as well as suck up the life spans of his students. Mei Mei learns the head's location from an informant and kills him. When an elder asks Mei how she knew where the former head was, she simply replies she asked someone who knew.

This plot twist allows for characters like Yuji to perform Simple Domain, which would be greatly needed in battle against monstrous enemies, and it makes so much more sense to the lore of the series.
