Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 270 has been leaked, and there was a panel that caused a lot of intrigue because it showed Takaba next to a man who looks a lot like Suguru Geto or Kenjaku, the man who took over that sorcerer's body.

Most fans know that Kenjaku and Takaba had a rather peculiar fight during the events of the Shinjuku Showdown arc, which is why many are wondering if the centuries-old sorcerer (or perhaps even Geto himself) has returned.

However, knowing the sense of humor and writing style of Jujutsu Kaisen author Gege Akutami, there's a very good chance that the Geto/Kenjaku look-alike is just a random comedian who works with Takaba.

It's very likely that his fight against the evil sorcerer has inspired him to a new comedy routine that's going to be based on the battle they had, which would fit Akutami's general approach to writing.

Explaining why the Geto/Kenjaku look-alike might be a joke by Jujutsu Kaisen author Gege Akutami

The chapter mostly focuses on what the remaining sorcerers are doing after the end of the Sukuna fight, and Takaba is not only confirmed to still be alive but also preparing his next comedy projects.

However, most fans noticed a Geto/Kenjaku look-alike, which has led to theories that one of the two characters is poised to make a comeback, although there's a less exciting reason for this panel.

The most likely scenario is that Fumihiko Takaba was inspired by his battle with Kenjaku and chose to make a routine with a partner who is going to dress like the centuries-old sorcerer.

It would not only make sense for the comedian and his characterization since he rediscovered his creative spark through that battle but also with author Gege Akutami's writing style, which tends to be quite ironic and subversive.

In that regard, it might not be the most exciting news for fans, especially because there have been a lot of people theorizing that this series is going to get a sequel. But as of this writing, there's no information on a new Jujutsu Kaisen project coming out, so this Takaba scenario could be the most likely when taking all the official information into account, as of right now.

The legacy of Kenjaku vs. Takaba fight

There's no denying that the Takaba vs. Kenjaku fight might be one of the most bizarre and unique in the entirety of Jujutsu Kaisen, especially considering this is how Kenjaku was removed from the story.

Mostly a comedy sketch, it shows author Gege Akutami flexing his creative muscles and providing a very peculiar scenario where a character like Takaba, mostly a second-fiddle member of the cast, was key to defeating one of the main villains.

However, while most people praised the creative direction of the battle, many fans didn't appreciatethe way in which Kenjaku was taken out. Most still believe that the evil sorcerer had potential for greater things in the series and getting killed by Yuta Okkotsu sneaking up on him was deemed as disappointing.

Final thoughts

While there's a chance that Jujutsu Kaisen could get a sequel and Akutami is setting up Kenjaku or even Geto's return, this twist could also be expected from him. The mangaka has become known for shocking people with random twists and this could be another one.
