Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 263 continued the fight between Yuta and Sukuna and reintroduced Inumaki to the plot. Since the Shibuya Incident arc, his role had taken a backseat, but this chapter brought him back with the reveal of his technique being used through a recorder.
Previously, it was nearly established that Inumaki's technique required him to actively issue a command. Although the exact specifications behind this procedure haven't been revealed, it potentially makes Inumaki's cursed technique one of the strongest in the series, altering fans' understanding of these techniques.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263 makes Inumaki's cursed technique even more convoluted
The inherited Cursed Speech technique channelizes cursed energy into Inumaki's words to manipulate others. Inumaki's cursed technique simply works on the commands directly issued by Inumaki. This has rather ambiguous restrictions attached to it, which was earlier made clear when Inumaki's throat started bleeding after issuing only a few commands to Hanami. The exact restrictions are still ambiguous and cannot actually be quantified.
Many were also questioning whether Inumaki needed to be physically present in front of the target for his technique to work, but that confusion was cleared up. In the Kyoto Goodwill Event arc, it was made clear that Inumaki's technique can take effect even if the commands are issued through a smartphone, using which Inumaki incapacitated Miwa. It still made sense to fans since Inumaki was actively and consciously issuing the command.
But Chapter 263's ending depicted Inumaki stopping Sukuna with his cursed speech. Although it did have an adverse effect on Inumaki, the thing that caught fans' attention was the fact that the command was already pre-recorded on a tape recorder by Inumaki and was essentially used similar to a stun grenade.
This has essentially changed the understanding around Inumaki's cursed techniques and cursed techniques in general. Chapter 263 clarified that Inumaki no longer has to actively channel his cursed energy to use his technique.
He can record his commands, and the technique will activate on its own. However, the physical pain and drawbacks remain, as shown by Inumaki coughing blood in Chapter 263.
Theories in the fandom suggest that Inumaki could become a powerful sorcerer if he learns the reverse cursed technique to regenerate his bleeding throat, which limits his potential. However, RCT supposedly requires huge amounts of cursed energy, which Inumaki lacks.
The remote activation of his technique makes it possible for Inumaki to use his ability continuously while being healed by Shoko or any other Reverse Cursed Technique user, who is at least as proficient as Yuta.
Before Chapter 263, almost every fan agreed that cursed techniques needed to be consciously used and activated. But the use of Inumaki's cursed technique with a recorder has essentially opened the gates for the already present cursed techniques to become even more innovative.
Final Thoughts
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 263 will be officially released on July 7, 2024. The exact chronology of events remains unclear, leaving the possibility that Inumaki made a severe binding vow for the remote activation of his technique to be possible.
