Dragon Ball fans recently saw a Gogeta vs. Broly fan animation on X, which had people wanting Super 2 to come out now. That is something that surprised all kinds of fans since it fully captures the epic feel of the Broly film while also adding something quite different. This shows the potential and ability of the fandom while showing how people want new content.

A running Dragon Ball anime is something that the fandom is in dire need of and the upcoming Daima series could satisfy that craving in October. However, there are a lot of fans who want to see the Moro and Granolah arcs of the Super manga, with the recent Gogeta vs. Broly animation only increasing that desire in the community.

People want Dragon Ball Super 2 after the recent Gogeta vs. Broly fan animation on X

A fan on X named @Rinnkedao made an animation of the Gogeta vs. Broly battle from the 2018 film by Toei Animation, which had a lot of positive reactions. That is something that showed how the fandom is craving for Super 2 since the franchise hasn't had a running anime since the end of the Tournament of Power arc back in 2018.

In that regard, it makes sense that this fan animation had a lot of positive reactions when considering that the fandom is in dire need of new content in anime format. While the 2018 Broly and 2022 Super Hero films had good reception and were overall commercial successes, there is little content when considering this franchise's legacy and reach.

Now that Daima is due to come out in October of this year, this is going to please a lot of fans who want to have a new anime. However, there is no denying that a lot of people would like to see the Moro and Granolah arcs adapted, which doesn't seem likely at the moment.

Reactions online

The future of the Dragon Ball franchise has not been clear since the passing of author Akira Toriyama on March 1 and how people in charge are moving forward with the property.

While Daima is due to come out in October, this project was already made before Toriyama's passing, and there haven't been any announcements of how they are going to move forward, especially considering that the Super manga is now in hiatus.

All of this makes the Gogeta vs. Broly fan animation all the more impressive to the fandom since it shows the franchise's potential at the moment. Toei Animation has recently shown with the One Piece anime that they can deliver high quality when it comes to visual spectacle, which is what many Dragon Ball fans want to see in the next Super adaptation.

"This video made me realize goku just playing with nuclear weapons in his hands," someone said.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME AMAZING," another person said.
"This is one of the greatest sequences I've ever seen. Thank you," someone else said.

There is no denying that this depiction of the Gogeta vs. Broly fight was of high quality and also shows how the fandom wants the series to return to anime format.
