Takaba Fumihiko from Jujutsu Kaisen was part of the witnesses who saw the battle of the strongest and was one of the first ones who entered the battlefield after the demise of Gojo Satoru. While Gojo Satoru's death was a twist the majority of the fandom was not expecting, the cursed technique that killed him could be of someone other than Ryomen Sukuna.
Takaba's cursed technique is one of the most broken ones in the series as it makes anything he thinks of as 'funny' a reality. While this technique could be used against anyone, he could have used it against Gojo by imagining his loss against Sukuna and finding it funny. As he is unaware of his cursed technique's potential, this makes more sense.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Exploring the reason why Takaba's cursed technique might be the reason behind Gojo Satoru's demise
This theory could be improbable as it links two unrelated sorcerers together and binds them through death. While Takaba was the deciding factor when it came to the demise of Kenjaku, the idea of him being the killer of Gojo Satoru is quite far-fetched.
These points aside, however, the theory could be true considering how Takaba's cursed technique, Comedian, works. The key part to this technique becoming true is Takaba finding his jokes funny. His cursed technique was showcased in its glory during his fight against one of the final antagonists, Kenjaku.
The fight was one of the strangest ones in Jujutsu Kaisen yet as it had no battlefield and took place in different scenarios that were imagined by Takaba's Comedian cursed technique.
The fighters saw themselves in the middle of the road where Takaba pulverized a special-grade cursed spirit that was summoned by Kenjaku because he found it funny. The fight even saw them in the hospital as nurses and in other ridiculous scenarios. But it was one-sided because Kenjaku was aware of Comedian's weakness.
Once Takaba found his jokes not funny, he was left vulnerable and this gave Kenjaku a chance to attack. But this only arrived at the end of the fight where both fighters were doing a stand-up comedy show. Takaba started crying as he thought of a future where he was not a comedian.
The act ended and Takaba was seen on the ground in the attire of a corpse, thanking Kenjaku for showing him what he was capable of. But he didn't die because this scenario was also something the sorcerer found funny, because of which it actually happened.

Comedian could be considered the strongest cursed technique, even stronger than Shrine and Limitless, as it gave its users the ability to transform any environment into a scenario of their choice. Moreover, this cursed technique also removes the barrier between reality and fantasy, just like how Takaba transformed Kenjaku into a female in the hospital.
Gojo Satoru's demise was a hard pill to swallow for the fandom globally. It might be hard to believe that Takaba was the man behind Gojo's demise, but considering how broken his humor was, he might as well have found the demise of Gojo Satoru funny.
