Jujutsu Kaisen is just a few days away from its final chapter, and the most untalked aspect of the manga series was Gojo and Yuta's dynamics. Even though the relationship between these two was one-sided from Yuta on the outside, on the inside, the Honored One also believed in his student the most, despite teasing him for not being up to par in battle.

Compared to the Jujutsu High teacher's relationship with his other students like Itadori, his relationship with Yuta was more of an unsaid fact, as these two knew about each other's potential but still did their best to be there for each other in hard times. The biggest example is how they planned the worst-case scenario against Sukuna without doubting each other's potential.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Exploring Gojo and Yuta's dynamics that went underappreciated by the fandom

Okkotsu Yuta is one of the main characters in the series, first introduced in the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Yuta was introduced in Maki's class as a special-grade cursed sorcerer, due to the curse of his childhood friend, Rika. Gojo was adamant about making him a commendable sorcerer, so he took him in his class, and let his students give Yuta the basic outlook on cursed energy manipulation.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 ended with Yuta learning the basics of cursed energy manipulation and lifting the curse of his childhood friend, making it his own cursed technique instead. He was then sent to his home country with Miguel to learn more about the cursed technique.

The sorcerer returned during Itadori's Execution arc where he confronted Itadori and revealed how he was the student Gojo always talked about. These two then trained together and entered the Culling Game arc, at the end of which they managed to unseal Gojo from Prison Realm. The next thing was the battle against Sukuna, which everyone trained for.

The main concept of this training was using Ui Ui's cursed technique. Where everyone chose to exchange bodies with sorcerers from whom they could learn a thing or two, Yuta and Gojo exchanged bodies among themselves. Gojo planned this to teach Yuta the basics of using his body, in case he lost against Sukuna and the student had to take over his body.

During this training, Gojo kept teasing Yuta and mocking him for not being able to adapt to his body, even though they were both considered special-grade sorcerers. On the other hand, Yuta kept urging everyone that they shouldn't entirely depend on the Honored One to save them from every situation.

While this might indicate that the sorcerers had no chemistry, the reality is much different. Gojo mocking Yuta was his way of telling him to grow up and become stronger, as Gojo could have seen his demise later. This would be why he relied on Yuta to take care of things after he was gone. Yuta, on the other hand, always believed in his teacher, as he knew about his potential to begin with.

When comparing their relationship to that of Gojo and Itadori, the latter relationship is more so that of a student and teacher, while Gojo's relationship with Yuta is that of colleagues who know about each other's weaknesses and strengths. Due to this, Gojo and Yuta's dynamic was never talked about enough by the fandom.

After Gojo's demise, Yuta transferred his consciousness inside the body of the Honored One, giving him another chance to appreciate his teacher for using such a cursed, energy-depleting body his whole life.
