One Piece chapter 1120 was released on July 15, 2024. The episode showcased the return of the Iron Giant who lost a hand against the Gorosei and claimed to use something that it has never used. This could be related to the weakness of the Gorosei, which has been teased since their devil transformation.

The chapter commenced with the reveal of Professor Clover as a D clan member who was rejected by Dr Vegapunk. The chapter also saw the sacrifice of Vegapunk Atlas who was destroyed by Saint Nusjuro.

The climax of the chapter saw the Iron Giant fight against the Gorosei but as it was old, it couldn't pull out any moves. However, the Iron Giant claimed about using something that could be key to defeating the Five Elders. The weakness of the Gorosei was indicated during the Thriller Bark arc when they ordered the execution of Gecko Moria, who could steal shadows.

One Piece chapter 1120 commenced with a flashback that revealed Professor Clover from Ohara as a member of the D clan. The chapter then returned to Egghead Island where Saint Nusjuro was not letting the Straw Hat Pirates leave.

Out of nowhere, Vegapunk Atlas made her entry and told the Straw Hat Pirates to escape as she took the Gorosei to the sky and blasted herself. On the other hand, Luffy's side saw Iron Giant emerge from the sea.

The Iron Giant was happy to see JoyBoy (Luffy) but Luffy didn't recognize him. The Gorosei took this chance to attack and the Iron Giant even tried to defend the giant's ship, but as it was hundreds of years old, its rusty body couldn't move much.

The Gorosei ripped off one of its arms, mocking the Iron Giant for being an old toy. The chapter ended with the giant talking to JoyBoy in his mind, confirming with him if this was the right time to use 'it.' Where there could be several guesses as to what 'it' could be, the most logical answer in this case would be that the Iron Giant has a weapon strong enough to overpower the Five Elders.

But the thing is that these powerhouses, the Five Elders, have no weaknesses, as none have been showcased in One Piece yet. But it could be speculated as to what their weakness could be from past events. After the Gorosei were summoned to Egghead Island by Saint Saturn, they immediately transformed into their devil forms.

Surprisingly, their devil forms didn't have any shadows as the panel that showcased their devil forms only showed a small shadow of Luffy standing in front of these colossal beings. But how could this be related to the Iron Giant's hidden weapon? One such event that happened during the Thriller Bark arc is of key importance.

Gecko Moria was the captain of the Thriller Bark Pirates and a former warlord. He had the powers of the Shadow-Shadow devil fruit which gave him the power to steal other's shadows and use them to his liking, just like how he used Luffy's shadow to use the dead body of Little Oars Junior.

But Gecko Moria's execution was ordered by Kuma, a warlord at that time, as they expected his loss against the Straw Hat Pirates. So, Kuma went and started eradicating every Thriller Bark Pirate he saw. But why would the Gorosei go out of their way to kill Moria before he even fought the Straw Hat Pirates? This could be due to his devil fruit and its relationship with the Gorosei.

As stated earlier, the Gorosei have no shadows, or in other words, their shadows are somewhere else when they enter the Grand Line. Moria's Shadow-Shadow devil could have the capability to pull out the shadows of the Gorosei, thus taking them out and using them for his own purpose.

This could be the main reason behind the strange execution order of Gecko Moria by the Five Elders. Gorosei's order of executing Vegapunk is a perfect example to showcase how they are scared of people who could become a danger to their existence.
