Grisaia: Phantom Trigger episode 3 will be released on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 12 am JST. The anime episode will first be televised on Tokyo MX and other television networks in Japan. It will then be available to watch online locally and on Crunchyroll globally.

The previous episode revealed Kujirase's past, which explained why she became an explosive expert. Moments later, Taiga's father, Natsuki Sengoku, informed Principal Ichiru that the Sengoku family planned to launch an airstrike on Kitaoka Medical University to take down the terrorists. Upon learning about this, Kujirase leaves to rescue Taiga. The other SORD agents follow soon after.

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger episode 3 will be released on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in most countries worldwide. As for Japan, the anime episode will be released on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 12 am JST in Japan.

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger episode 2, titled Mother's Cradle #2, revealed Kujirase's past. While her mother seemingly loved her, she let go of Kujirase's hand when she was drowning in the sea after an explosion. Kujirase did not know why her mother did that but decided to become an explosion expert to prevent such incidents.

As for the explosion at Kitaoka Medical University, the one responsible was a terrorist group called TFA, which wanted access to a virus. However, given how dangerous the virus could be in the wrong hands, the Sengoku family decided to eliminate the terrorists with an airstrike.

Considering that Taiga and the hostages would also get killed in such an event, Kujirase went on a solo mission to rescue her junior. Soon after, the other SORD agents were dispatched to Kitaoka Medical University.

What to expect from Grisaia: Phantom Trigger episode 3?

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger episode 3 will likely see Rena Fukami and the other SORD agents arrive at Kitaoka Medical University and rescue Taiga Sengoku and Kujirase. With the previous episode ending with Taiga surrounded by TFA members, Rena and Maki might take them down with a swift attack.

Elsewhere, Touka Shishigaya and Megumi Kumashiro are expected to take down TFA agents with their sniping skills. Meanwhile, Aoi Haruto and Murasaki Ikoma might take down the terrorists roaming the university corridors. Lastly, the anime's preview for the next episode hinted at Ichiru Sengoku seemingly performing a successful operation on someone. Thus, it is likely that the mission will be a success.
