Demon Slayer’s final arc will arguably be the most entertaining section of the overall story. Season 4 of the anime is well underway and the latest episode featured plenty of anime-original scenes. Ufotable has shown fans once again why they are one of the best animation studios in the medium. The manga didn’t particularly show much in the Hashira Training arc and many manga readers might be inclined to believe that the arc was rushed.

The anime adaptation, on the other hand, dedicated an entire episode to the first segment of the Hashira Training that was headed by Tengen Uzui. The character interactions were quite entertaining to watch. The entertainment factor was further amplified by the fight sequence involving Tanjiro and the former Sound Hashira. The anime did a fantastic job of not only making it entertaining but also finding a way to set up Demon Slayer’s final arc in the most impactful way.

Demon Slayer’s final arc was set up in an impactful way all thanks to Ufotable’s anime-original scenes

Demon Slayer’s final arc features a fight between the remaining demon hunters and Kibutsuji Muzan. Defeating him is the Corps’ goal, and they are ready to do anything to achieve that. In the current Hashira Training arc, the anime introduced a few unnamed demon hunters who seemed irrelevant to the current story. However, these were characters who were shown in the manga, and they make an appearance in Demon Slayer’s final arc.

In the manga, we could see one of the demon hunters asking his comrades to use their bodies to shield and protect the Hashira since they were the only ones who could go toe-to-toe with Kibutsuji Muzan. These demon hunters were ready to sacrifice their lives. The same character who asked his comrades to shield the Hashira also appeared in the anime.

The demon hunter was seen struggling to keep up with Tanjiro and even showed signs of cowardice. He was also shown to be quite scared when he was on patrol as Nakime’s eye was making its way into the place where the Hashiras and the demon hunters trained.

However, the character had a mini-arc for himself in the anime. He pushed himself during the training and finally acknowledged that he could not reach Tanjiro's level. However, he didn't let that thought discourage him. He understood his role and promised to get as strong as he could.

The unnamed demon hunter showed his zeal to become stronger so he could assist Tanjiro and other Hashiras in any way he could. His comrades also chimed in and agreed to do the same. This was an incredibly heartwarming scene in the anime, and the manga didn’t have this content.

This is how Ufotable set up Demon Slayer’s final arc in the recent episode. It will be interesting to see how the animation studio will foreshadow important scenes and events from the upcoming Demon Slayer arc. The upcoming episode is all set to be released on June 2, 2024, and the fanbase is eagerly waiting for the next stage of the training which involves the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito.

Stay tuned for more anime and manga news as 2024 progresses.
