The Jujutsu Kaisen fanbase is elated over the contents of chapter 266 spoilers because it featured Megumi’s comeback. The spoilers from the aforementioned chapter did not disappoint fans since the direction in which Sukuna and Itadori’s fight headed towards, showed a lot of promise.

Fans were quick to take their opinions to X (formerly known as Twitter) and it’s safe to say that Megumi’s comeback took the spotlight. The manner in which he showed his tenacity against Ryomen Sukuna hyped the entire fanbase.

Fans bombarded the comments section with “HE IS BACK”, indicating that they’re happy to see him fight back and help his dear friend Yuji Itadori in this crucial fight.

Why are fans reacting to Megumi’s comeback in Jujutsu Kaisen?

Ever since Sukuna took over Megumi Fushiguro’s body, there wasn’t much that he could do. He was helpless, and after many chapters, we can see him fight back. This was due to the efforts that Yuji Itadori took in an attempt to weaken Sukuna, thanks to the former’s Dismantle technique.

Megumi Fushiguro’s soul was drenched in the “Bath”, which was created by Uraume so that Ryomen Sukuna would have better control over his vessel. The Dismantle helped Megumi break that control, and this was seen during the fight when Sukuna’s leg suddenly shrunk into a shadow that was on the ground. This was a clear indication that Megumi was fighting back, despite being Sukuna’s vessel.

The King of Curses didn’t even have Mahoraga or the Ten Shadow Technique because the former was destroyed and the latter wasn’t particularly functional in this scenario. Either way, fans were happy to see Megumi fighting back and helping Itadori out in what could be their last fight. Here’s how the fanbase reacted to the spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 266.

Fans have always had faith in Megumi Fushiguro. His comeback might have shocked a few, but plenty of netizens were patiently waiting for his return. They have reason to believe that he could be a key piece in defeating the King of Curses once and for all. Megumi and Itadori teaming up to defeat Sukuna would be the perfect ending to the story.
