Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 257 has recently been leaked and shared many details regarding the origins of the main character, Yuji Itadori, and the main villain, Ryomen Sukuna, which has led to some fans stating that "he's so doomed." This chapter confirmed a long-standing theory in the fandom that these two characters were related in some shape or form, which has led to many strong reactions online.
Furthermore, Yuji's family tree was already the source of many discussions in the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom because his mother was Kenjaku, a man who, at the time, was in a woman's body. Now that Sukuna has been thrown into the mix, it is fair to say that Yuji's family is far from being ordinary, leading to many interesting comments in the community.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans react to the revelation of Yuji Itadori's family
The recent chapter of the manga confirmed that Sukuna had a twin whom he consumed while they were still in their mother's womb. This resulted in Kenjaku obtaining the twin's soul and transforming into Jin Itadori, who is revealed to be Yuji's father. Now, in the body of Kaori Itadori, Kenjaku birthed Yuji with Jin, thus leading to the protagonist of the series being related to that villain and also to Sukuna.
"He is so not getting money in his birthday cards," a person mentioned.
"i thought kenjaku was dead? now yuji only has choso and... sukuna...," another person mentioned.
While laughing at the fact that Yuji is related to the two main villains of the series, some people in the fandom also brought up the fact that the protagonist has Choso. Considering that Kenjaku helped give birth to the Cursed Wombs, and Yuji is partially one of them, so he and Choso are brothers.
"Choso like hey man, you still got me," someone mentioned.
"Kenjaku is dead and choso exists," another person pointed out.
More opinions on the matter
The twist definitely had a lot of comments in the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom, particularly when it comes to a comedic perspective. The idea that someone as normal as Yuji, at least in terms of personality, is connected to the King of Curses and someone titled "the most evil sorcerer in history," while also being related to the Cursed Wombs, makes it somewhat entertaining.
"Mommy is dead too.... Only Onii chan and Uncle Suku remains!! That too God only knows how long!! Will Itadori be the only one to survive?? Or he too would end up dying... ending his family lineage with himself??" a fan pointed out.
"Family torn apart, Yuji clings to Kenjaku and Sukuna's twisted embrace, a bittersweet refuge in chaos. #jjk257," someone else said.
"One family's heartache turns anew, as bonds transform, Yuji learns anew: clan's ties now are Su and Ku's mood." another person said.
The revelation that Sukuna and Yuji are related was something that the fandom had been theorizing about for a long time, and now it has been confirmed. This makes the conflict between them all the more engaging, especially when considering that Yuji's father was initially "eaten" by Sukuna when they were in the womb.
Final thoughts
Now that it has been confirmed that Yuji Itadori and Ryomen Sukuna are nephew and uncle, respectively, there are a lot of strong reactions in the Jujutsu Kaisen fandom. Furthermore, fans expect author Gege Akutami to give this series a strong conclusion.
