Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has had quite a unique start to the story, as unlike the prequel manga that gave a fair share of screentime to Naruto and Sasuke, the new manga has pushed them to the sidelines. Such development has seen the manga focus much more on the new generation of Shinobi rather than the previous one.
But despite that, manga creator Masashi Kishimoto did not fail to give Sasuke fans an update on his character development. This is especially evident from a key detail surrounding God Tree Hidari that explains to fans the true difference between Sasuke in the Naruto and Boruto series.

Hidari targeting Sarada in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex indicates whom Sasuke prioritizes the most
While fans may have been left devastated by it, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga saw Sasuke Uchiha get turned into a God Tree by a hoard of Code's Claw Grimes. This development saw a sentient God Tree based on Sasuke's chakra get manifested. This sentient God Tree was called Hidari.
While the God Trees' original instinct was to suck the chakra out of all living things and create a chakra fruit, Code's interferences led them to possess self-awareness. This self-awareness caused them to overflow with curiosity and thirst for knowledge and effectively push aside their instinctive desire to devour the Otsutsuki.
Instead, the God Trees became instinctively driven to go after people who were most important to the people they were based on. This is evident from how the God Tree based on Moegi, Matsuri, was instinctively driven to devour Konohamaru Sarutobi. Similarly, the God Tree Hidari, the one who was manifested from Sasuke's chakra, wished to devour Sarada Uchiha.
This development proved that Sasuke thought of his daughter Sarada as the most important person in his life. While fans already knew that Sasuke loved his daughter in the prequel manga, Hidari targeting her double confirmed it.
However, as fans might remember, Sasuke did not possess a fragment of such emotions back in the Naruto anime. Back then, he was filled with hatred and had only one goal in his life, which was to avenge the Uchiha Clan by killing his brother, Itachi Uchiha.
Even after he succeeded, he could not let go of hatred. This is because after Sasuke learned the truth behind Itachi's actions, he wanted to kill the higher-ups of the Hidden Leaf Village for putting his elder brother through the ordeal of massacring his entire clan. Thus, until the very end, i.e., the final fight against Naruto at the Valley of the End, Sasuke was filled with hatred.
In contrast, in Boruto, he has a loving wife Sakura, a daughter Sarada, and a student, Boruto. He worked day and night outside the village to keep it safe and always showed up to protect his family and friends. Hence, it is very clear that with time, Sasuke let go of his hatred and became a person who cherished the people around him.
