Jujutsu Kaisen fans are known for coming up with a lot of different theories when it comes to the series. With three chapters left, people are Reddit are theorizing that Ryomen Sukuna could return. That's definitely a far-fetched theory when it comes to the series' conclusion, but it focuses on some small details regarding the drawings of Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro.
It was revealed in chapter 268 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga that Sukuna was apparently killed, but Yuji doesn't have some of the scars he had during the vast majority of the series while Megumi did.
This theory suggests that the King of Curses is still alive and hidden somewhere within Fushiguro, although it's easy to assume that it doesn't make sense because of some notorious reasons, like the manga having only three chapters left.

New Jujutsu Kaisen theory explains why Sukuna could still be alive
This theory points out that Yuji Itadori, as seen in chapter 268 of the manga, no longer has scars on his face when talking to Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki while reading Satoru Gojo's letters. His face is healed, which doesn't make a lot of sense, considering that the final battle was only a mere days ago.
Moreover, Megumi Fushiguro is still seen with the scars he had when he was Ryomen Sukuna's vessel, which has led some to assume that there'w still a little bit of the King of Curses within him. The general idea is that he's going to return in the final chapters of the series, but there are some major issues with this theory.
The most obvious problem is that the manga only has three chapters, so it wouldn't make a lot of sense for author Gege Akutami to bring back the final villain after he was defeated. Furthermore, the idea of the scars on the face missing could simply be Gege forgetting to draw them as there are chapters where he misplaced them on Yuji's face.
The legacy of Sukuna as a villain
There's no denying that Sukuna is one of the most popular Jujutsu Kaisen characters because of his sheer evil and displays of powers, particularly when he was in Yuji Itadori's body.
A lot of people have loved how he defeats everyone around him and serving as a wildcard when he was within the protagonist, oftentimes taking things to far more chaotic degrees.
However, his characterization during the Shinjuku arc was divisive to a lot of people, as there were no flashbacks or new information to know more about his background and how he became the King of Curses in the Heian era.
That, coupled with the fact that he fought most of the main cast on his own for almost a year of publication, led to the villain's popularity declining to some degree.
Final thoughts
It's very unlikely that Sukuna is going to make a return in Jujutsu Kaisen when there are only three chapters left in the manga. However, it shows the fandom's attention to detail and dedication to the story that they have come up with these theories.
