Dragon Ball Daima recently released what is probably the final trailer before the series comes out on October 11 and fans are already emotional because this is author Akira Toriyama's final work. The legendary mangaka passed away on March 1 of this year and this anime was the first time he ever had a massive contribution to a production of this ilk, giving it a very special feel.
There is no denying that the premise of the main cast turning into kids has been a divisive route for Dragon Ball Daima to take but this being Toriyama's final piece is a prominent reason for people to give it a chance. Moreover, when considering that the mangaka was the one who wrote this story, there is no denying that the classic feel of the franchise is going to be palpable.

Final Dragon Ball Daima trailer has fans emotional over the passing of Akira Toriyama
As mentioned earlier, the general premise of Dragon Ball Daima being that Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and the rest are turned into kids was quite divisive in the fandom, with some claiming that was ripping off GT. However, when it was revealed that this is the project author Akira Toriyama worked on before passing away on March 1 of this year, the general perception of the fandom changed.
There is also the fact this is the first time Toriyama worked very closely with the people of Toei Animation for an anime project of his most celebrated franchise. While he has contributed with character designs and general guidelines for the movies, this is the first time he had a heavy influence on an anime adaptation, to the point that the entire story of Daima was written by him.
Moreover, this is the first new project of the franchise to come out after the author's passing, which gives this anime a very special place at the moment. While the quality of the project is going to be discussed once it comes out on October 11, there is no denying that it has a very special context, all things considered.

The general premise of this anime is that Goku and his friends are turned into kids by people who have been theorized to be the Demon Clan, thus setting him up on an adventure so they can go back to normal. It has been confirmed that the Supreme Kai is going to have a major role to play and the vast majority of the official footage has been centered around Goku, although the recent trailer showed a bit more of Kid Vegeta in action.
Dragon Ball Daima seems to work as a callback to the series' earlier adventures with a heavy focus on discovery, although this one seems even more fantasy-focused. The trailers show different unique locations and landscapes, probably set in places far from Earth.
"Artist die but art never dies.. Final gift of Akira toriyama," someone said.
"we will be seated, Toriyama is and always will be Legendary. RIP to the greatest of all time right with Stan Lee and Sir Chris Lee and a handful of others too," another person said.
"Can’t wait for it to drop knowing it was the last project Akira Toriyama had his hands in," someone else said.
Dragon Ball Daima is coming out on October 11 of this year, as mentioned earlier, and is going to be a memorable tribute to Akira Toriyama.
