My Hero Academia ending could have been teased in the recently released chapter 423, as two of the series' biggest antagonists were defeated in it. The chapter, released on May 20, was primarily focused on Deku marching towards TomurAFO with the help of his classmates until Kurogiri interfered and demanded that All for One release Shigaraki.
Bakugo's surprise appearance pushed Deku forward so that he could transfer the last embers of One for All inside the villain, which resulted in the demise of All for One and later Shigaraki.
The series is now possibly in its last chapters, and everyone is asking the same question—where would mangaka Kohei Horikoshi take the series from here to make the My Hero Academia ending satisfactory? As per speculations, the next chapter could see a time skip of a few years, during which Deku and his friends live a peaceful life without giving fans any answers about what happened after the war concluded.

Why a flashback in chapter 424 could be the worst My Hero Academia ending
Chapter 423 commenced with All for One realizing his mistake as he saw Class 1-A give their all to make Deku reach him. The villain also admitted that the potential of the heroes of Class 1-A collectively was amazing, considering how they were able to overpower him, the absolute evil.
But his ego didn't settle, and he kept belittling Deku, who managed to land a blow on TomurAFO. Shirakumo made a surprise entry and told All for One to return Shigaraki's body to his friends. But Deku had to keep moving, so Bakugo arrived out of nowhere and pushed Midoriya towards TomurAFO.
Deku's punch connected, and he passed Yoichi's last embers into the villain's body. Yoichi reprimanded his brother, All for One, and said he had to pay for his sins. After this, all the vestiges of One for All and Shigaraki were freed.
All of them, alongside Deku, punched All for One with a last punch, thus defeating the villain. After a while, as Midoriya and Shigaraki touched hands, the latter was reduced to dust, indicating that the My Hero Academia ending was now eminent with the defeat of its villains.
But fans' worries are not settled yet, as the next chapter could leave a bad aftertaste of the series' ending. As speculated by fans, due to My Hero Academia ending in chapter 423, the next chapter could see a time skip of a few years where every student would have settled into their lives as proper adults.
While this is not bad, as the students deserve to live a happy life after fighting All for One and Shigaraki, fans are more concerned about what happened after the final war concluded.
Among the plethora of questions regarding My Hero Academia, some popular ones include whether Dabi survived after his fight against Todoroki, whether Deku talked to Spinner regarding Shigaraki's last words, whether Uraraka confessed her feelings for Deku, and so many more that fans want an answer to.
If the My Hero Academia ending turns out to be a time skip of a few years, it might not be remembered as a good series because its ending did not answer all questions.
Bleach and the Thousand Year Blood War anime also had a time skip
As some fans might have noticed, a similar thing happened with Bleach, a manga series from the Big 3 of Shounen. After the demise of Yhwach, the series went into a time skip and forgot to answer questions about so many characters.
What happened to Aizen? What happened to Uraraka? With the questions regarding the series' characters compiled, fans considered its ending one of the worst.
However, with the final sequel of Bleach receiving an anime adaptation and the series' author supervising it, everything is not lost for Bleach. With the My Hero Academia ending still unknown, there is no telling what path it could take.
