My Hero Academia's final war arc is about to commence in season 7, but fans are more interested in knowing how Hatsume improved Deku’s hero costume for My Hero Academia's final war.
Deku and Iida visited Hatsume in episode 4 of the series' fourth sequel to get their costumes fixed. Unfortunately, due to being short of time, Hatsume could not fix their current gears and gave them replacements that weren't as good as the original ones.
But this had fans wondering how a gear that is not the same as the previous one could fare in My Hero Academia's final war against the Paranormal Liberation Front. To fans' surprise, the new gear that Midoriya received would fare better as it would help Midoriya use One for All alongside the complimentary quirks of the vestiges, thus facilitating the hero in the battle against TomurAFO and his forces.

Exploring the modifications Hatsume did on Midoriya's gear before My Hero Academia's final war
In My Hero Academia season 7 episode 4, after getting their hands free from Aoyama, the Class 1-A students returned to their dorms and worried about the upcoming war. Midoriya and Iida, on the other hand, were adamant about winning the war and visited the Hatsume for some modifications in their costumes.
Deku wanted his Mid-gauntlets, which were gifted to him by All Might during the Dark Deku arc. These were only produced in the U.S., so there weren't any replicas available for him to use, and Iida wanted his full armor fixed.
As they reached the development studio, Izuku relived the moment when he was blasted out of nowhere and Hatsume landed on him. After they calmed down, these two requested Hatsume to fix their costumes. As they were in a hurry, Hatsume utterly declined their requests as she had to work on their gear from scratch.
While Hatsume's subordinates offered their help in this case, Hatsume quickly made their gears from scratch and hurled them on the faces of the heroes. While she claimed that these weren't the same as the original ones, these would work for the time being. Midoriya and Iida left while thanking Hatsume.
Although Hatsume couldn't fix Midoriya's Mid-Gauntlets because she needed a metal, condominium, which wasn't available, she created a replica of the Mid-Gauntlets and attached it to a new version of Air Force gloves. The Air Force gloves were Hatsume's original gear model, which she gave Midoriya as his first gear.
So, this would mean that Izuku Midoirya would enter the final war with a hybrid gear consisting of a Hatsume-original Mid-Gauntlet and a new model of Air Force gloves. But as this gear is new, how would it fare against strong enemies like Tomura Shiagaraki?
My Hero Academia's final arc commenced with the hero splitting the villains into different groups, as discussed by All Might in season 7 episode 4. For this, Monoma copied Kurogiri's quirk to open warp gates to different regions, and the heroes pushed the villains inside these portals.
Here is when Midoriya used his new gear, designed by Hatsume, for the first time. The gear allowed him to push every villain inside the warp gate and the gear didn't even flinch. But he is forced to enter the warp gate alongside Uraraka and Tusyu where they face Himiko Toga on an island miles away from the battle site.
After letting Uraraka and Tsuya handle Toga, Izuku rushed toward the battle site, combining Float (Nana Shimura's quirk), Fa Jin (Bruce's quirk), and his new Air Force gear. Midoriya had applied One for All on a very high percentage such that he was flying through the ocean without any problem.
But this new gear had the same problem as the old one, it couldn't handle 100% of One for All and if used with such a percentage, it would break. As Midoriya tried activating One for All to a 100 and while crossing the ocean, one vestige appeared and reprimanded him for being wary of such things.
So, where the improvisations done by Hatsume to Midoriya's costume weren't able to get rid of the old drawbacks, they could be considered stronger than the older model of Mid-Gauntlets.
