
The One Piece remake was announced during Jump Festa 2024 held on December 17, 2023. Until now, there is no news for when the remake of the series will air but it is rumoured to be a lengthy one as many initial arcs will be remade and it is speculated to run for a decade and it could cover the entire series.
One Piece is a Japanese manga series created by Eiichiro Oda. As of July 2024, its individual chapters have been collected into 109 tankōbon volumes. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 1997. An anime television series for the same first aired in October 1999 and since then over 1100 episodes have been released and the series’ manga and anime are still running.
The story centers on the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a young boy who accidentally consumed a Devil Fruit and has rubbery properties in his body. In an attempt to become the next Pirate King, Luffy travels the Grand Line with his crew of pirates, the Straw Hat Pirates, in search of the "One Piece," the greatest treasure in the world.
