Spin-offs
Kaiju no. 8: B-Side
Kaiju No. 8: B-Side, a spin-off manga created by Kentaro Hidano, was available on Shōnen Jump+ from January 5 to July 12, 2024. Based on Keiji Andō's light novel Kaiju No. 8: Exclusive on the Third Division, the spin-off tells Defence Force members' side stories.
Beginning on January 4, 2024, Shueisha and Viz Media published the series in English on their respective websites and mobile apps: Shueisha on Manga Plus and Viz Media on Shonen Jump. The chapters have been compiled by Shueisha into separate tankōbon volumes. On April 4, 2024, the first volume was published. The first volume of the series is scheduled for release in Q2 2025, and Viz Media has licensed the series for print in English.
Kaiju no. 8 Relax
On June 4, 2024, Saikyō Jump and Shōnen Jump+ began serializing Kaiju No. 8 Relax, another spin-off manga illustrated by Kizuku Watanabe. The comic was first published on Shōnen Jump+ on June 7 of the same year.
Light Novel
On November 4, 2022, Keiji Andō and Matsumoto's four-chapter light novel side story, Kaiju No. 8: Exclusive on the Third Division, was published. Viz Media declared on February 2, 2024, that it has obtained an English print license for the light novel. The publication is scheduled for Q4 of 2024.
