Here, we will break down each season of JoJo's Bizarre alongside their release date and storyline.
1. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 1st, Part 1: Phantom Blood
Season 1, Part 1 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure titled Phantom Blood aired from October 6, 2012 to December 1, 2012. The story's timeline goes back to the 19th century in England, and the story revolves around Jonathan Joestar and his adopted brother Dio Brando, the antagonist of the series, who becomes a vampire using an ancient artifact. To fight against Dio, Jonathan learned the martial arts technique Hamon, taught by Will Anthonio Zeppeli. In the end, Jonathan defeated Dio but died in the explosion.
2. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 1, Part 2: Battle Tendency
The story of the second part of season one is based on Joseph Joestar, the grandson of Jonathan Joestar, who inherited the power of Hamon from a very young age. He later teamed up with the Nazi soldier and his biological mother, Lisa Lisa, to defeat the Pillar Men. In the last episode, Joseph defeated Kars, the leader of the Pillar Men, to save humanity from those who wanted to rule over them.
3. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 2: Stardust Crusaders
The second season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders covers part three, which is also split into two halves, which are not considered different parts. The story covers Jotaro Kujo, who is Joseph's grandson. While traveling to Egypt, he manifested a stand with Psychic power. His stand name is Star Platinum, a close-range stand great for close combat.
Jotaro teamed up with his grandfather Joseph, Mohammed Avdol, Jean Pierre Polnareff, and Noriaki Kakyoin to fight against Dio, who somehow survived in the first season when Jonathan sacrificed himself. In the last episode, Jotaro and Dio fight against each other using their time-stop ability, but in the end, it is Jotaro who defeats Dio, who dies this time.
4. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 3rd Season: Diamond is Unbreakable
The third season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable follows the story of Jotaro, who returns to Morioh, Japan, in 1999. He then starts investigating a case where a killer used his stand to kill many people. He later meets with his cousin Josuke Higashikata, who also possesses stand power and is called Crazy Diamond. They join forces and find that the criminal's name is Yoshikage Kira, who murders people with arrows. In the end, together with Josuke, he is able to defeat Kira.
5. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 4th Season: Golden Wind
The 4th season of JoJo's BizarreAdventure: Golden Wind follows the story of Giorno Giovanna, who is the illegitimate son of Dio Brando, the antagonist of seasons 1 and 3. He joined the Italian mafia, Passione, and also with Bucciarati to rank himself up in the mafia ranks.
With Bucciarati, Giorno was tasked with protecting Trish Una, the kidnapped daughter of Passione’s mysterious boss, whose name is Diabolo. In the end, Giorno is able to put Diavolo into an endless cycle of his death due to Giorno's stand’s Requiem's power.
6. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 5th Season: Stone Ocean
The 5th season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure revolves around Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Jotaro Kujo. At the start of the season, Jolyne Cujo was falsely framed as a criminal and sent to Green Dolphin Street Prison in Florida for a lengthy prison term, even when it was his boyfriend Romeo Jisso's fault that caused the accident while driving with her.
In prison, she encounters the main antagonist of the season, Enrico Pucci, whose Stand Whitesnake ability is to manipulate the other stands and take their memories. However, Jolyne was able to awaken her own stand power, and together with some allies, she fought against Pucci’s henchmen.
Jotaro was concerned about her daughter's safety, which made him infiltrate the prison and face off against Pucci, who stole his stand and memories. However, Jolyne fights against Pucci to save her father against Pucci, whose ultimate goal is to steal every stand power to rewrite the universe and create a world where everything is predetermined. While fighting against Pucci, the young boy Emporio, who helped Jolyne in the fight, gains the ability to stand and defeat Pucci by rewriting the Universe, but after the defeat, Joylne and the other allies are not able to recognize Emporio.
