There are a total number of 12 manga volumes of Death Note and over 30 million copies being sold all over the world. There are 108 chapters included in the 12 volumes of the manga series, also called twelve tankobon volumes by Shueisha, released from April 2, 2004, to July 4, 2006.
The Death Note story follows an intelligent young teen human named Light Yagami, who finds the Death Note of Ryuk, who dropped into the human world because of boredom. After Light understands how Death Note works, Ryuk stays with him and sees Light kill so many criminals, portraying himself as God.
The story of Death Note is amazing, and every episode has many twists and turns, which makes it one of the best anime series in the world. This is why over 30 million copies were sold, which makes it one of the highest-selling manga series.
