Hotaru Haganezuka's age in Demon Slayer has been a hot topic amongst the fandom since the character's face reveal during the Swordsmith Village Arc.

Moreover, despite his age, Haganezuka's body is pretty well-toned which is due to his occupation as a swordsmith associated with the Demon Slayer Corps.
Demon Slayer: Discovering the age of the most famous swordsmith, Hotaru Haganezuka
Haganezuka is one of the series's supporting characters who was introduced in episode 5/chapter 9 after Tanjiro returned home to Urokodaki. Haganezuka introduced himself as the swordsmith associated with the Demon Slayer Corps and visited Tanjiro to give him his first Nichirin Sword.
His demeanor at first was that of a calm man but it got worse after some time when Tanjiro's attribute for his sword came out as black. While this didn't indicate anything ominous, it did annoy Haganezuka, who was expecting Tanjiro's color to be crimson red.
Haganezuka continued by explaining his disappointment while hitting Tanjiro, who got annoyed and asked about his age, to which he bluntly mentioned his age. After this fun encounter, Tanjiro received his first mission as a demon slayer.
So, how old is Hotaru Haganezuka from Demon Slayer? As revealed in the official source material, he is 37 years old. This age has also been revealed in the light novel of the series, Signs from the Wind.
The funny yet scary character of Haganezuka
After his first appearance, Haganezuka appeared after Tanjiro returned from a mission where he destroyed his Nichirin sword. Being a man passionate about swords, Haganezuka tormented Tanjiro for breaking something he worked so hard for.
This was the key characteristic of his character since he was a little child. His hot-blooded demeanor made his parents go through a mental breakdown and he was raised by the Swordsmith Village's chief, Tecchin Tecchikawahara, after that. The village chief was also the one who gave him the name Hotaru.
During the Swordsmith Village arc, after Tanjiro discovered the 300-year-old sword, Haganezuka appeared out of nowhere and snatched the sword from the protagonist. He then disappeared into thin air.
During the rampage of Gyokko, the Upper Moon Five Demon, he busted a shed that was present in the village, which revealed Haganezuka admiring and polishing the sword he snatched from Tanjiro.
Annoyed by his focus, Gyokko hit Haganezuka in order to distract him, but he remained steadfast and continued his work. Gyokko's assault on Haganezuka continued until the demon broke the swordsmith's mask, revealing his face. Haganezuka had the face of a young man, despite being an old man.
