With the premiere of Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc anime, the series has brought a lot of focus to the Hashira. This is because Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers were to partake in a Hashira Training program to develop their Demon Slayer mark.

Unfortunately, while the anime added several anime-original scenes for the other Hashira, Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji missed out on the same treatment as her anime-original scenes were too short.

Nevertheless, those scenes led to some humorous developments that saw Snake Hashira Obanai Iguro feel suspicious of Tanjiro's intentions with Mitsuri. As fans have seen in the anime, Tanjiro and Mitsuri share a friendly relationship. This makes one wonder about their age differences. While fans know Tanjiro is 16 years old, how old is Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji? She is revealed to be 19 years old.

Demon Slayer: How old is Mitsuri Kanroji?

In the anime, Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji is 19 years old. Given that Tanjiro Kamado is 16 years old, she is three years older than him.

Mitsuri Kanroji was born in the Meiji Period among five siblings. While her mother was known for her strength, Mitsuri happened to surpass her as she displayed an unnatural talent due to her unique muscle composition.

The unique muscle composition and strength also affected her eating habits as she ate much more than the average person and eventually developed an unnatural pink and green hair color as a result of eating too much sakura mochi. This led her to be labeled a "freak" and unable to proceed with a previously intended marriage at the age of 17.

Following this rejection, Mitsuri Kanroji tried everything she could to please her potential partners. This included dyeing her hair black, pretending to be weak, and eating a normal amount of food in an attempt to fit in with other people. While these adjustments were affecting her negatively, Mitsuri kept at it.

Eventually, Mitsuri was again approached by a potential partner. While she could have gotten married this time, Mitsuri doubted how a marriage could work if she pretended to be a different person. Hence, the marriage was called off.

Soon after, the head of the Demon Slayer Corps Kagaya Ubuyashiki encountered Mitsuri and asked her to reject normalcy and embrace her strength as a gift. Right after, Mitsuri joined the Demon Slayer Corps under the guidance of Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku. She tried mastering Rengoku's Flame Breathing but ended up developing her original Breathing Style — Love Breathing.

During her time at the Demon Slayer Corps, Mitsuri also adopted the idea of finding a man stronger than her to marry. This is because she desired to marry someone who could protect her. Unfortunately, Mitsuri was stronger than her fellow Demon Slayers and happened to climb up to the position of Love Hashira.

This must also be why Mitsuri tried to help Tanjiro become stronger in the Swordsmith Village Arc. Upon realizing his potential, she informed him about a secret weapon (Yoriichi's katana) hidden in the village that was meant to make him stronger.

These events suggest that Mitsuri Kanroji went through her rejections, adjustments, and her new life as a Hashira all under two years, making her 19 years old in the anime.
