Exploring Julius Reinberg's abilities in Wistoria: Wand and Sword
As one of the top three students from the Rigarden Academy, with 10048 credits to his name, Julius Reinberg demonstrates incredible powers, making him a rightful candidate to ascend to the upper institution.
Julius was first seen in Wistoria: Wand and Sword during the praxis training, where he cast ice shards to destroy multiple golems at once. The cyan-haired mage's ice shards can instantly freeze his enemies if they don't have enough endurance level.
On the other hand, Julius Reinberg can create ice mist and ice walls using his Bluemirror Wand. Although it's debatable whether he is on par with Lihanna in strength, Julius exudes finesse through his abilities.
One of Julius Reinberg's most destructive abilities in Wistoria: Wand and Sword is Xelunea Caulis, which allows him to create a large mass of ice above his foe and drop it on them. During the Dungeon Attack Arc, the Ice mage demonstrated the skill multiple times against high-level monsters.
However, Xelunea Caulis is far from being his strongest ability. Rather, it acts as a compliment to his secret spell, Ars Weiss. According to the Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga, Ars Weiss refers to the first magic spell of El Glace Frosse, a series of 12 magic spells crafted by Elfaria Albis Serfort, the Magia Vander of Ice.
Elfaria ascended to being a Magia Vander for creating the El Glace Frosse. Interestingly, Ars Weiss was a spell she learned at two. Julius Reinberg can emulate the spell but at a lower and incomplete level. This spell allows Julius to create his clones and let them cast magic.
However, unlike the Guardians, which can operate at their will, these clones need Julius's total control. The Ice mage can use his clones not only to overwhelm his foes with numbers but also to act as traps.
He can make them explode at his will or use them as remote magic circles to cast other ice spells, such as Xelunea Caulis. In the Grand Magic Festival, Julius Reinberg demonstrated Ars Weiss to create clones and send them to every playing area to gain an advantage.
Moreover, the manga shows Julius using the skill to battle Will Sertfort in the Crown Attack's final stage. Yet, as mentioned, Julius hasn't mastered the Ars Weiss in the series.
Unlike Elfaria, who can spawn ten clones, Julius could only master eight. Moreover, he required his teammates' amplification magic to retain the clones' shape in the Grand Magic Festival.
That said, in the later arcs in the manga, Julius Reinberg becomes slightly adept at using Ars Weiss. Moreover, his other Ice skill sets, such as ice shards, ice walls, Xelunea Caulis, and other spells become stronger.
