Hunter x Hunter chapter 403 will be released in Japan on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 12 am JST. The manga will be released in the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. Fans around the world can read the issue on Viz Media’s official website, Shueisha’s MANGAPlus service, or the Shonen Jump+ app.

In the last chapter, readers saw Kaiser, Melody, Kacho, and Fugetsu work together toward carrying out their plan. They have one prince in mind as a target, and time is running out, given how Fugetsu is being plagued by evil spirits. Hunter x Hunter chapter 402 recap

The previous chapter continued on the tenth day of the Succession War, when an agreement was finalized among the third, fifth, and fourteenth princes. The deal stated that should Woble, Tubeppa, and Zhang Lei be the last contenders in the Succession War, Woble and Tubeppa would withdraw. Additional stipulations were included, emphasizing the necessity for each prince to have their own aides present during discussions.

Tubeppa noted Tserriednich's absence from the recent banquet, interpreting it as his unwillingness to cooperate. Moreover, concerned about the threat posed by Benjamin's guards, Tubeppa devised a plan to redirect their attention toward Zhang Lei, by informing Benjamin of their newly formed alliance.

Meanwhile, despite things being in his favor, Zhang Lei was skeptical about the surrender clause in the agreement.

Next, it was revealed to readers that Balsamilco possessed a weapon of mass destruction. This weapon had the capability to inflict lethal damage within a twelve-hour timeframe without leaving behind any evidence. He intended to use it against Halkenburg.

The eleventh day began with Tserriednich mastering Zetsu in mere seconds and maintaining it while multitasking. Salkov recalled Theta’s earlier testimony regarding Tserriednich’s unique prowess in Zetsu, and speculated that his Nen Beast might have been releasing stored aura. However, Salkov questioned the reliability of Theta's claims.

Earlier that day, at 6 am, Kacho told Melody that she had seen a mysterious mark on Fugetsu's back. Melody guessed it was caused by Nen and warned her that Fugetsu should use her abilities wisely, as a trap had been laid for her.

Kacho suspected that Prince Luzurus was behind Fugetsu's plight and came up with a plan to get rid of him and make it look like an accident. They could get access to him unnoticed using Fugetsu's ability, but for that, Fugetsu had to visit Luzurus' room in person first.

So a plan was made where Kaiser would go with Fugetsu and give all the princes Kacho's final letters. This plan was a success, and in the end, Bassho gave Fugetsu a good luck charm to protect her from malevolent spirits, giving her some extra time.
