The previous chapter of Hunter x Hunter started on a Wednesday at 6:45 am, as Balsamilco arrived at the Courthouse with the intent to assassinate Halkenburg. He believed that Halkenburg's personal guards would be absent, allowing him to get within a hundred meters of his target.
As he prepared to infect Halkenburg, Vict appeared, causing Balsamilco to suspect that Halkenburg had used the Rumbling ability against him. Just then, Halkenburg arrived with a group and shot an arrow at Balsamilco.
The chapter shifted to Prince Benjamin, who learned that the trial was postponed due to technical issues involving the plaintiff and Halkenburg’s illness. Benjamin concluded that the assassination attempt had failed because Balsamilco was the target instead.
When Balsamilco reported back, Benjamin remained alert, considering eliminating him if he returned without completing the mission. Later on, he would relay that he had successfully completed his mission.
