Hunter x Hunter chapter 405 will be released in Japan on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 12 am JST, according to the official MANGA Plus website. This chapter is expected to revolve around the Phantom Troupe members Feitan, Phinks, and Nobunaga. They will be in talks with the two mafia families about how to deal with Heil-Ly, which is headed by Morena.

In the previous chapter, readers saw that the three were not concerned about the recent passing of Halkenburg. Halkenburg had transferred his consciousness to Balsamilco's body to win the Succession War.

In the previous chapter, Kurapika was brought in to inspect the coins produced by Zhang Lei's Guardian Spirit Beast. After looking it over, he noted that currency was typically meant for circulation, which suggested that coins would likely change as they were traded. He also figured out that Zhang Lei's Guardian Spirit Beast could be used to accumulate Nen over time.

Zhang Lei offered Kurapika a coin that had increased in value from one to ten and said he wanted to test it further. Kurapika saw that accepting the coin triggered a semi-coercive manipulation ability, but since the Nen had only been stored for ten days, it could not force him to do anything drastic.

The chapter then moved on to Halkenburg, who had transferred his consciousness into Balsamilco's body, while his original body was in a coma. Halkenburg's plan was to stay conscious until he secured a victory in the Succession War.

He told Benjamin, playing the part of Balsamilco, that Halkenburg was going to die soon. Knowing that Balsamilco's consciousness would take over again when his body died, he decided to take sleeping pills to keep Balsamilco's mind from waking up. This would give him about ten hours to achieve his goal.

As Halkenburg's body died, a public announcement was made about his death and asked his supporters to give him a send-off. Benjamin wanted to make sure he did not upset Halkenburg's followers, so he ordered Balsamilco to fulfill Halkenburg's last wishes.

Meanwhile, Kurapika was concerned that Camilla would attack Woble in the next Nen class. Elsewhere, Feitan, Phinks, and Nobunaga were on the move to take down Heil-Ly.

According to the leaked spoilers, the next installment will center around a strategy aimed at dismantling the Heil-Ly Family due to the destructive nature of their operations that threaten to disrupt the balance of power. This chapter is also expected to mark the reappearance of the real Hisoka.
