Hunter x Hunter chapter 406 will be released in Japan on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 12 am JST, according to the official MANGA Plus website. This chapter is expected to follow Chrollo as he plans his revenge. At the same time, Phantom Troupe members Feitan, Phinks, and Nobunaga should be on their way to confront the Heil-Ly Family. It is expected to be a rather interesting chapter given mangaka Togashi took a long time to finish the dialogs.

In the previous chapter, readers saw these three Phantom Troupe members meet with the two Mafia families to discuss the current actions of the Heil-Ly Family. They concluded that Morena’s plans were getting too destructive and needed to be stopped before the balance of power is tipped.

In the previous chapter, Hisoka was shown playing poker in a casino, reflecting on how the events surrounding the Chimera Ants and the Rumblings on the Black Whale had not affected him. This is because he only yearned to fight one-on-one with human opponents and not insects or groups.

Bonolenov, who was keeping an eye on him from a distance, wondered if the Hisoka he saw was just another imposter. A flashback revealed that Chrollo had instructed Bonolenov to pose as Hisoka to draw the mafia’s attention and get invited into the VIP area. Bonolenov remembered having had to kill Lynch, who had found out his true identity. He now feared that the mafia might punish the real Hisoka for his actions.

Meanwhile, the Phantom Troupe members—Nobunaga, Feitan, and Phinks—talked about the Heil-Ly Family's operations and objectives. Nobunaga said that under Morena's leadership, the organization was sacrificing humans indiscriminately to gain power.

Tajao let this be known that the Xi-Yu and Cha-R Families would be backing Morena as he led them out. However, Wang was revealed to be in cahoots with Morena and saw the Phantom Troupe as a threat. Later on in the chapter, Morena, seeing the funeral of Halkenburg as a great opportunity, gave Dogman the job of locating a specific person using his Nen abilities. Others continued their training to take down Hinrigh.

The next installment, according to the leaked spoilers, will focus on Chrollo quite a bit, showing what his goals are and how they can be achieved. It also seems that Lynch's body will be discovered, which is going to create some stir.
